Hi, I have been on 90mg of methadone for about 5 years for chronic and many pain issues, my dr has retired and my current dr does not want to keep me on my meds. A friend gave me 4 small white tablets about the same dimensions as a 10mg blue vallium maybe bit bigger he told me they were mogadon. So I took them stupidly without looking properly at them. I'm sure they had the line to snap them. I don't usually take vallium as don't like fuzzy head next day but I do take 1or2 once in six months to 2 years just for a wee glow and good sleep. And it will be about a hour before I go to sleep. So I took the 4 of them on Saturday night at 22:30 ish. Hello everyone! I'm on 30mg of methadone a day for pain. I recently became sick with a stomach flu. That day I threw up my pills. I waited until I felt better and took them again. The thing is my doctor sends out my urine to a lab to check my levels to make sure I'm taking the correct amount. I'm worried that perhaps some was absorbed the day I got sick. If I skip a day of taking my methadone will that balance out for the day I was sick and took the extras? Please help if anyone knows. I'm a model patient and don't want to get kicked off the meds. Any advice will help.

Need any information on what Doctors prescribe methadone.. ## Hello, Tony! How are you? If you require it for addiction/maintenance, then your only option is a clinic. A private practice doctor isn't allowed to prescribe it for that. However, if you require it for pain, then any doctor can prescribe, but most will be reluctant to do so, due to it's highly addictive tendencies. Hey everyone, I need some help please! I Have been off methadone for 2 months now. I was put on it for severe pain and was a terrible decision to ever go on it in the first place. I have been reading other people's posts and I know people have experienced extremely bad headaches but I have been having headaches where it feels like someone is squeezing my brain plus it feels like my forehead is on fire and it also will feel cold tingling and numb at times. It also moves around on my scalp. just when I think it's getting better the next day it's back. Has anyone experienced this? Does it ever go away? How long did it take to start feeling normal again? Hello to all in hopes of your help... I am looking for a PM clinic who will continue me on my meds that my dr in orlando has prescribed for over 3 yrs. Because of all the crazy stuff here in south fla they meaning the pharmacy's cvs/ walgreens will only fill scripts from dr offices 25miles from there store location I now mail in the script problem is i need a dr here in south fl who is not 300.00 . but i will pay cash if there is a coupon.... At my clinic in Michigan the regular doctor is no longer there. He was an addiction medicine specialist and did general practiceprimary care. The new regular doctor is only a pathologist, and stated during my 60 day evaluation today that he hasn't treated anyone in 35 years. My question is is this doctor qualified to be the only doctor treating patients at the methadone clinic? ## Hello, Gumcat! How are you? As long as he has been trained in treating with it, regardless of whether or not he has been practicing for awhile, then yes, he can do so. The laws don't require that the doctor be an addiction specialist, just that they have the proper licenses and have been trained in treating with Methadone. I have been on methadone for many years I am at 30mgs a day. Well someone gave me a half of a subutex. Is it safe to take it?I haven't my methadone yet for today. And can u take them together? ## Hello, Spanky! How are you? No, you shouldn't take them so close together, or combine them. Mainly, because it could throw you into precipitated withdrawals. The Buprenorphine in the Subutex takes a much stronger grip on your opiate receptors than most other opiates do, so it can kick it out, causing dangerous withdrawals and it can prevent other opiates from having any effect for several days, after taking it. I need methadone proscription I used for 5 years but now I reject from clinic ## I all so wish I never was at a clinic 4 methadone.. I tried subs. that did not work. 4 me.. ## I am very sorry about the problems you guys seem to be having. However, I must inform you that if you were being treated for addiction at a Methadone clinic, a private physician cannot prescribe it for you. How long is Methadone traceable in urine and blood ? ## It could stay in your system for 6 - 12 days. ## i would say 4-6 days for a person with normal active conditions that eat 3 meals a day and drink lots of fluids ## How long do methadone metabolites show up in the urine? I live in Houston, TX (77092 area) and have called major, "mom and pop", even obscure pharmacies. I can NOT find a place that carries methadone! (10 mg. 120 ct.) I am so frustrated! Can anybody tell me where to look? I lived in League City, south of Houston, before and they carried it AND my other script (Norco 10/325) at the local Walgreens. I have to say I love love love this site! I have been to them all and this one is by far my favorite. I belonged to one methadone discussion group and I felt as though I couldn't answer any question or post anything without being scrutinized. I answered once and 3 people told me how wrong they thought I was in the rudest way imaginable. I promptly quit the group. Listen, I have been on methadone for over 10 years, I'm not an expert but I certainly know a thing or two about it. This group is kind and welcoming, I want to tell you I appreciate that more than you will ever know. I think we all need someone to talk to about our situation without being ridiculed. Thanks again.

I took 20mgs of methadone about once a week for the last month and I'm gonna get a job offer within the next 2 weeks to a month and it requires a 12 panel hair follicle drug test. Is 20mgs 5 times low enough for me to pass or do I have to do the toxin shampoo, vinager, dish soap, ect.... ... ## Nah sweetie I'm sorry but I know from much experience and many 12 panel test that yes It will def show up. Plus use can't really flush out methadone. It runs off your metabolism. Sorry but Prolly in trouble

I was on 45mg methadone and waited 72hrs after the last dose. Doctor started me on 4mgs of suboxone twice a day. Just took first dose in the AM. Sick as hell. Put me in withdrawal. Should I take the next dose?? ## Hello, Samson! How are you? If you weren't in full withdrawal, yet, then you shouldn't have taken the Suboxone. Taking it too soon can cause you to be thrown into precipitated withdrawals. Have you consulted your doctor? It would be best to do so, in order to be sure of what you should do next.
