I am on 100 mgs of methadone a day. I was diagnosed with hep.c 13 years ago- and I can barely get normal activities done over the last 3 or 4 years. I have no health insurance and have even tried to get on a trial run of a med. for it- but was told just to have an appointment is 50 dollars. I also have very high blood pressure aprox. 190 over 135, I was told to see a doctor that day. No money though. I also have a dental problem, all four of my wisdom teeth are very crooked, broken up and the roots are abnormally long. I was told I needed dental surgery and would have to wait six months. With my history of drug problems, and being so weak- it could be risky to have anestisa. The methadone has saved my life, and who knows what else. I have one relative left. hi,i've been on methadone,at 90mg/once a day, for 5years. Due to an infection stemming from a cracked tooth in the back of my mouth that spread rapidly, i now have MRSA and am on my fifth round of antibiotics. They put me on Bactrim-two, 300mg pills twice a day,for 7 days. im on day 6 and feel like im full blown withdrawl. It started right after i started the Bactrim. The FDA classifies Methadone as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Lamictal is an anticonvulsant and mood stabilizer, which may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, weight gain, runny nose and cough. I will be going for a job interview at some point next week, more than likely it will be early in the week ( in about 3 days) today i took 4 10mg methadone pills. It will be a saliva test that i have to take, how long will the drug be detectable in a saliva test? ## Hi Serenity, Methadone can be detected in your saliva for up to 1-10 business days. Just joking about the 'business' days part. LOL! Although in 3 days time, it's still questionable as to whether or not the drug will be detected; but if you have a prescription for Methadone, then you should be fine just presenting the script to whom ever is testing your saliva, so you're not held accountable for a positive result. I'm desperate to find a doctor to advocate for me in social security as well my pain. I deal with daily pain aND my current doctor is retiring. The doctor I saway today is taking me off all pain medication as a way of reducing pain and even said the lesions in my brain are caused by the large amount of opiates. I've been on methadone now for 3 years. I go 2 times a month. I just got on iss and medicaid. I need to find a clinic that takes it. I can find listings for clinics in various areas, but this site doesn't have any information on what insurance they accept. Do you have a regular doctor? I currently take methadone for pain but my dosage just isn't cutting it anymore so i keep running out bc the doctor doesn't want to increase it, EVEN THO the label clearly says "if you feel your medication is not controlling your pain, your dose may need increased" due to a tolerance build up. I've been on pain pills for years and have taken a ton of different meds just to find ONE that actually WORKED! It took forever. Both pills contain 10 mg of Methadone hydrochloride. Neither of these are extended release or stronger than the other. M 57 71 is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. 54 142 is manufactured by Roxane Laboratories, Inc. Do you have any other questions or comments to add? im on the methadone program clean for almost 2 yrs. went out did x and thengot called for urine test. So my gd drank 50 mls of meth and then collected hewr urine for me to use. Is that enuff time for the methadone to show up in her urine. I'm just looking for a bit of insight. I've been on methadone for about a year and a half now, but have been tapering for the past couple months. The most I've been on is 60mg, but I went down to 35mg after about 8 months of being on methadone in general. I went down 3mg a week from 35mg until I reached 20mg, then from there I have done 1mg per week. I know it seems like a while, but I think that was a really good choice for me. I have accidentally missed two days worth of a dose one time due to the weekend and I literally felt like dying. I have been on suboxone for almost two years now and have to pay $150 out of my disability, Medicaid covers the prescription but I was shot and am now partially paralyzed from the waist down n it doesn't really help with the pain, does anyone know if tri county methadone clinic accepts medicaid? i am prescribed methadone, xanax, zanaflex, & gabapentin. Took a klonopin and 1 Norco. Shown positive for morphine & oxycodone. Just bring in documentation showing what you are prescribed and hopefully they will conclude that you most likely tested positive for substances based on those. Has federal funding for methadone decreased since the "opiodemic"? I started taking opiates in 1992 because of extreme pain in my hip which I had suffered with since 1979. The medical profession gave me NSAID's and a small script for Tylenol-3. I have since had 2 hip replacements. I am 59 yrs old. I've been with the same Dr. in Tallahassee Florida for 6yrs great relationship between us,however I just had to move to Pasco county with my mother to help with my 92 yr old grandparents & have a extremely rare hereditary form of myopathy(that just killed my father from complications)it causes the rods in my legs to disintegrate & the nasal cavity to disintegrate,& I don't have the space 2 go on about my various back issues,surgeries,etc. I'm literally on my knees in this situation as I don't know anyone or anything in this place!
