I was on 85 mg of methadone daily for about two years. It wasn't helping my pain so I decided to quit with the methadone and started going to pain management. The last day I took methadone was May 6th, 24 days ago. Today when I went to see my pain Dr. My urine drug test was positive for methadone. The Dr said there is no way methadone can be in your system for 24 days. I haven't taken anything but the oxycodone this Dr prescribed to me. She said that's it's possible it's a false positive and that the lab results will be back in 8 days. I'm flipping out because not only am I going to be in pain, I'm going to be in withdrawal until the test comes back and hopefully it exonerates me. Has this happened to anyone else? ## Yes. I have to have 6 witnessed urinalysis tests and 8 random ones each month at the methadone clinic. Is that too many? How many witnessed drug screens are allowed in a month at a methadone clinic? Can they do a call back on the Sunday take home that everybody gets from day one?

I have been reading all these posts and was blown away by all these people seeking methadone.ok here we go ,I was on 80 mgs going to the clinic every day for 8 years.when your in a opiate fog 8 years go by real fast.One day I did not have my weekly payment(which is all my clinic cared about,never asked how are you)so I decided to detox cold turkey from 80 mgs to nothing. If a patient is suppose to be taking 30mgs of Methadone in the Morning and 30mgs in the evening but takes 20mgs in the morning and 20 mgs in the evening and then does a urine test, can the doctor find out whether there is a total of 60 or 40 mgs in a patient, most of all if the patient has been on the Methadone for years? ## If you take 180 mgs of methadone once a week how long will it show up in urine tests? ## So I am what you would call a former addict/ weekend warrior occasionally... My ex-wife has kidney failure and has to start dialysis. She has been going to a methadone clinic for years now on high doses and gets benzos now from her physiatrists after the death of our son last year. My question is, what will happen when the dialysis is started with all the methadone and benzos in her system?

I need to know if I can take levoquin 500mg (1 per day ×7 days) when I am taking methadone 100mg per day? ## No, the FDA generally warns that they should not be taken together, due to the risk of experiencing a dangerous heart rhythm, that has the potential to be life-threatening. Did you doctor instruct you to take them both? Are you on any other medications?

I have had friends tell me for years that klonopin doesn't show up on drug tests at the methadone clinic. Does anyone know if it is still true? l had taken one and had a test the next day. ## Most drug tests dont pick up klonopins metabolites but ameritox screens pick it up. It's it's a weird benzo ## I am on Methadone and klonopin. If you take klonopin within 48 hours of your urine test it will show. If it's been more than 48 hours, it's a gamble but it probably won't show up. But they send random urine tests to the lab sometimes and THAT test shows EVERYTHING. Terrible hip pain from Arthritis. Taking 90 ml methadone liquid for over 13 yrs. Nothing can help pain due to methadone tolerance is so high. Friend gave me a Butran patch 15mcg/per hour, but after reading online advice I'm afraid of going into severe withdrawal of the methadone. I understand these two together will not work, but rather cause me great problems. I've tried Norco, Oxy-cordone, Percaset, n Ibprofin 800mg. If anything, the ibprofin 800 helped slightly, but nothing else even fazed my pain at all. I'm now seeing a pain management Dr. who has prescribed me lidocaine patches, and some type of non-narcotic inflammatory patches. I am waiting already over two weeks for him to pre-authorize these patches, so don't know if they will help my pain. Does anyone know of ...

My husband and I were addicted to opiates for several years. We started on Methadone maintenance about a year ago and it has worked wonderfully. We are now ready to move on with our lives. We knew from the beginning that we were not going to be on Methadone for the rest of our lives. We are ready for traveling, babies, and life without methadone. My husband turned down an awesome job out of state to taper down correctly instead of quitting cold turkey, as the state the job was in had no methadone clinics. We both spoke to our counselors to discuss tapering off methadone. My counselor was very supportive, but, my husbands counselor is horrible and said that "he needs to come to the realization that some people stay on methadone for the rest of their lives". These clinics make a ton of money, don't kick you out for dirty UA's, (just cant have take-homes) always have a dozen reasons why you can't lower your dose, (doctors on vacation, not safe ect) BUT don't hesitate to kick you out if you haven't got your money to dose, or lose your insurance!!! And 2x have dosed my daughter the wrong dose!!!!! She takes 3 5mg daily and last year screwed up and gave her 20 and 3 days ago doses her with 110mg!!!! I have been trying to detox off of methadone. I have a bad back and due to lack of insurance, i now have disability, and a bad social disorder. I also have a methadone habit and want a doctor to help me detox. I need to find a doctor in or around Upper Michigan who will prescribe methadone. I am a morphine addict, but have been clean for 2 & 1/2 yearsusing Suboxone. The problem is the suboxone is not working like it use to. I also have chronic pain in my lower back and the suboxone does not help. I knew I have a test this friday coming but last night stupidly took crack and heroin. Im on a methadone programme and I get tested to make sure im clean of other drugs. Ive been told to eat lockets and soap lol... I need a way to make this test fail. Short of putting a water baloon in my mouth what can I do. I cant cancel as they will just suspend my methadone until I get in. My doctor just started me on belviq to help loose weight because the methadone has cause so much weight gain, and I am on hydroxyzine to help sleep at night. I forgot to ask her if they are OK together. 75mg methadone in morning, twice a day belviq, and 25mg hydroxyzine at night for sleep ## Hello, Jack! How are you? I have been using someone else's pee to test at the Methadone Clinic. They test everyone once a month....recently my test came back inconclusive..meaning there were no traces of Methadone metabolizing in my system. Since I go there everyday my case worker said all I can say is " its not your pee ". I must have kept it too long...its worked 3 times beore..I said I slipped.I got a 30 day penalty and all my take homes taken..my question #1 how long will the pee be good for if refrigerated #2 whats the best way to get past this...I really need my pot for the stress..But I really want the take homes..if I give them another test with no methadone in it I'm through. ## I know this is really old but I'm gonna answer anyway.
