We are sick of Las Vegas and are desperate to move. Does anyone know a state or doctor where there is snow and mountains and doctors who prescribe methadone ( an opiate not opioid ) for chronic pain. I'm 63, not in the addiction category, nor the selling my scripts category....just getting old. My 87 yr old mother was thrown out of her wheelchair down some outside cement steps face first & I put my body between her & the pavement knocking all the curves out of my spine. I need answers please! My mother just passed away and I believe it was from the medications she was on. She had lyme disease she said she was always in so much pain but I feel like she was on way too much medications. I believe that is what killed her..she was on methadone, morphine, dialoted, somas, sleeping pills, nerve pills. I want to know if these are even mixable? i have had insomnia since my 19 year old daughter took her own life, & have been taking large dosages of over the counter Unisom. I also am on ablify & cymbalta for the depression. I had to be taken to the er last week because I took to many Unisom to sleep & I got very sick. The er doctor read my blood test in front of my son who is 36 & my husband. She said it came back positive for methadone & Pcp. I have never taken those 2 things in my life. No one will believe me. I planned to enter a rehab for the Unisom, ect. I've been on 200mgs of Methadone and I just took 4 mgs of Suboxone. Will i go into withdrawals? ## Yes, if you're on Methadone and take a suboxone it will cause you to have withdrawals. Never ever do that again. ## I did that once and puked out black s*** until and was so sick. I will say this; it consolidates a 30-60 gradual day detox into 3-5 days of ABSOLUTELY the worst s*** u will ever experience.

I've had chronic pain for fifteen years and been on many types of medications, opiate and non-opiate. When I changed insurance and couldn't see my regular doctor, I ran out of fentanyl patches and oxycodone. I had never abused my medication, but after going through a few days of horrible withdrawals, I became desperate and made the dumb mistake of trying H. That was three months ago and I'm too ashamed and embarrassed to attempt to try a new pain specialist. I did go to a suboxone clinic for about a week, but the pain was too unbearable and I went back to the dope. I have really bad veins, plus I'm not good at inj's. so I have bad bruises and marks. I want to get on legitimate pain meds, even methadone if that's all I can get. I can't go on like this anymore ...

I take 4-10mg methadone. I'm worried that they also got me on 100mg Zoloft plus a 150mg Trazadone and 2- 20mg adderal. Worred about taking all this pills. I've taken these pills for 8yrs now. The Zoloft they put me on 2 months ago. I breath fine but have had it fill like my brain is starving for oxygen to the point I fill like I'm suffocating or READY to pass out. I'm on probation and was wondering if its legal to go to a methadone clinic to get off of subutex? Would the state tell my po i was coming there or would i get in trouble at all? I need to get off this subutex. ## Methadone will show up on a drug screen so they will know that away. Do they already know you are taking subutex? I guess they do if yu have to drop for them right.? So i would jjus tell my po im swithching....but normally once on methadone yu switch to suboxone when tapering.

I have been on methadone treatment for about 2 years. I originally started going to a clinic and took the liquid. I was at about 200 mg per dose. I couldn't keep going to the clinic, and keep a steady job. I ended up finding a pain management doctor that prescribed me the pill form. We worked out a plan to taper down because methadone is just not good if you want to have energy, an increased libido, sweat, and all the lovely other symptoms. I ended up tapering down to about 60 mg per day then my doctor decided that he wanted me to switch from methadone to subutex. So, we made a plan to get down another 30 mg. I took the 30 mg for a week, then he told me he was ready to prescribe the subutex. My last dose of methadone was Friday morning at 6 a.m. I ended up making it 56 hours before ...

Here I go. I take 50mg of methadone a day and 2 4 mg of dilaudid every 6 hours for breakthough pain. Well had a bad time. I was just diagnosed with a new painful disease called gout in my hands and feet. Well I am going to be out for 2 days of dilaudid. Will my methadone help me if I start having withdrawals from not having my dilaudid? Only going to be 2 days. I also take ativan 0.5 and phenergan 25mg for nausea. I need to know. Hello im on methadone,i have been for 6 years. ive been on the internet like crazy trying to find the names and addresses an phone numbers of methadone clinics that give us the option between methadone pills(wafers)or 10mg tablets or liquid. Ive been on the liquid and i absolutely hate it,it dont diges good at all,all clinics should give an option considering between the pill form an liquid form,not everyones body is the same i know my body, and it doesn't metabolize the liquid like the other peoples. Struggled with severe migraines since childhood. Double Visio, nausea, was on imitrex, torodol, topaz, too many yo name. Finally found relief with generic hydro of one, but then decided to manage everything by switching to suboxone. Since the pain factor is not effected one way or another, a friend had mentioned her chronic pain controlled by methadone. Don’t know where in Columbia SC to find a doctor or if this is some place you have to visit everyday. That would be expensive gas and interfere with my career.

I've had chronic pain due to autoimmune diseases for several yrs. I have been seeing a PM doctor in another state but now am in Louisville, Ky staying with a family member who has cancer. I will be here indefinitely and am running into dead ends finding a doctor who is willing to see me and write my Methadone 10 mg that I take 4 x a day. Any suggestions? Have been seeing the same pain management Doctor for the last 20 years, but I am now moving to Pennsylvania. I have been spending time between the move trying to find a Doctor in Pennsylvania that will keep me on the same regimen I have been on for this long. It is futile!
