My son was on oral methadone for 3 years. He got arrested and was in rehab for 5 weeks. During that time he detoxed from the methadone. When he got out he was clean for a year then one morning his son found him dead. Wife said it was a methadone overdose and they wrote it off as suicide. There was no drug paraphernalia at the scene and none in his stomach. Just what he had for supper. No stomach flush was done on him. I have researched this for four years and am currently trying to get murder charges pressed against two people that have admitted to others they did it. There were no other drugs in his body and from what I have read and researched being injected with the amount he was on and detoxed from would have killed him. I need to find a doctor that will prescribe Methadone for pain use. They wont even let me go to clinic because i was on it for pain for many years ## I live in south bend Indiana and was going to a methadone clinic for 8 yrs, I then found a dr. who wrote me 10-10mg pills a day which is 100mg a day. I am addicted to strong pain meds and I am tired of having to come off of them, the withdrawal is awful. I went to a urgent care doc and was prescribed suboxone. I take anxiety meds too but he wants me to stop. I really need the anxiety meds but he wants me off them. How do I get him to change it from suboxone to methadone so I can take my anxiety meds? ## Legally, he can't. I would like to know the best over the counter med to help with my methadone withdrawals and pain. I have little money no insurance and hurt like never before. I'm determined to be 100% clean. ## I hate to tell you this but nothing will stop your withdrawals from methadone. The only thing that may help you is ibuprofen for the fevers. I have been on methadone for about 6 years and had to start going to a maintenance clinic a few yrs ago after my pain dr lost his license here in Phoenix, Arizona. I tried going to another pain clinic after mine closed but they wanted me off the methadone and forced me to taper off of it in one week and demanded I took gabapentin which DOES NOT work and they didn't care. Anyways, I went to mmt clinic and have been there since but there are so many things wrong with it, I'd end up writing a book. i was given a sealed little bottle of pink liquid meth and it said it was 100mgs. My question is, Can that little bit of fluid actually be 100 mgs? There have been people at my clinic complaining of getting sick in the evening all of a sudden. ## It is more likely that they've gotten tolerant to whatever dose they are currently taking. I've been on 195 for 6 years now. They just brought back annual EKG and peak and through for those over 150. My QTC is 453 which is borderline I know. I'm in agony! I can't keep taking adderall and methadone, it's starting to make me feel irritated. I hate having to be on something. I just want to feel normal again without relying on pills. I Have my Dr's appointment today and I smoked marijuana for the last 2 weeks. Can I use quick fix plus synthetic urine and just add methadone to it? Would that work? I know he makes me pay $42 for a drug test without insurance and that the plastic cup doesn't have a temp gauge on it and I see other people's cups of pee sitting in his office so I'm guessing he doesn't send to a lab. I have been going to a methadone clinic for over a year now, but i have been on pain killers for the past ten years of my life. I am now on a dose of 170 per day but I still experince withdrawl symptoms 12 hours after taking my dose. I take clondine at night to try to curve the symptoms but all that seems to do is make my blood pressure drop to much and i go to sleep for an hour or two and then wake up still feeling the withdrawl symtoms. I started taking Vitadone about a month ago to see if it would help but still notice no difference. I was on 120 mg of methadone for 8 years straight with no relapse, so I decided to quit it. I got down to 110mg and had the weekend take home so i have been taking half of a half of 5mg and now I'm out. That was 1 week ago and yesterday when i ran out of the 5 mg I started to feel sick. I don't want to go on suboxone or subutex. I was told a doctor could prescribe Adderall for focus and Xanax for stress but I can't seem to find a doctor who will help. I've taken 80 mg liquid Methadone for six years. This is my second attempt to kick this devil off my shoulder. I tapered myself down over a two week period and took my last dose two weeks ago.
