Hi, I'm currently taking 120mg of methadone which i take 40mg every 8 hours and I've been in the hospital for over 3 months due to a blood infection that has left me almost unable to walk. Now I would have to go to a methadone clinic everyday in order to dose which is impossible with me being in a wheel chair right now. I'm wanting to go back on subutex as I was on this medication before until I needed something stronger for pain. Are Methadone and Methadose the same thing? I am on Methadone right now, and I am tired of going to a clinic everyday. Can a doctor prescribe me Methadose once a month? Thanks ## Stay clean and in 1 year you'll be going 1 or 2 x week ## Methadose is the liquid form of methadone and in my state (OH) it's what is given at the clinics. You would have to check your local laws but generaly speaking methadone maintenance is only done at a federaly regulated clinic and not in a Dr office. Have you considered Suboxone? The laws governing that are not as strict and alot of Dr's can prescribe it although they do have to apply for the rights to prescribe it. ## Carrie is correct. I have been taking 80 mg of methadone for the past 6 months. I had 3 dirty ua's and they decided to kick me out of the program. When I asked them if they were going to medically detox me, they refused to do so. I know that this is illegal. Hello, I am looking for a Dr in or near Lancaster Ohio that can prescribe LIQUID methadone to me to get me off Suboxone. Here is a little background. I took percocets for recreation use for just over a year. In November of this year I will have been on 24mg of Suboxone a day for 2 years. Yes I have been on the subs twice as long as my addiction lasted. Don't get me wrong subs saved my ass but I am ready to close this chapter in my life and move on. I have tried several times to taper off subs and have just accepted that I do not have the will power to do so. I have pain and addiction to opiates. After being on 90 mg of methadone for about 5 years (and suboxone before that), the doctor i was seeing left the practice for better pay. I ended up with a nurse who decided I no longer needed the methadone and she sent me to a pain clinic to be taken off if. The new doctor seems to think 10 mg a week is safe to drop me. I'm down to 25 mg and feel like hell. Everyone says he's going too fast but no one will help either take me off them safely or talk to him. I have been on Methadone for about 3 years for long term pain management and the stomach issues are awful. I went from 30 to 10 two years ago and have now been 3 days on 7.5 with no withdrawals yet. When will they start? I have clonidine and Ativan from the doctor to help, but I have a 3 day conference in July 7-9 and need to be pain free at 7.5 by then. Hello all. I am seeking advice for either home remedies to help alleviate some of the symptoms of withdrawal as you taper off methadone, or any and all suggestions about how to go about reducing the dosage and cravings. My boyfriend has been on methadone for 3 years. At first it was a 105 mg dosage just a substitute to get his fix instead of using. Now, he is really trying to get clean and slowly get off methadone. He's been on 30 mg for (from what I can recall) 6 months. About a month ago, he tapered down to 25 mg. He takes 10 mg pills and we are cutting them into fourths and halves. He tried to go down to 23 mg, but he has had a hard time with his nights - joint pain, muscle spasms, cravings, etc. So now he is a little reluctant to continue to go down. I was robbed and ALL my scripts were stolen. I went a whole month without my Percs 15s and OC 40s. I finally went to a methadone clinic. Been on for 3 weeks at 60 mgs now and got my script back yesterday for my Percs and OCS so I didn't dose today and OMG the withdrawals are starting and they are bad. Taking Percs and OCS are doing S***. WHY AM I STILL IN WITHDRAWAL? PLEASE HELP!! ## Because there is something in methadone that prevents other narcotics from making you feel high. I have a script for methadone for chronic pain and have been on vacation, well someone was nice enough to steal my last two days worth of meds here on vaca, well my partner has 15 mg oxycodone that I can take to help me thru till we get home yet I am weary due to my doc appt in ten days, will a days worth of perks be gone in ten days not using them on a reg basis? I go to a methadone clinic and recently got takehomes. I am trying to split my dose up so i can take it 3x a day. I get 140mgs. All I have is a med dropper that has tsps and mls. I only want to take about 40 mgs a time. How do I convert that with the med dropper I have? ## What about splitting it into 3 doses using 3 of the same size bottles/containers? ## If the dropper is 1 ml, it might be the same as 10mg ## Without knowing how many milliliters they give you in your take home bottle, no one can properly answer your question. Additionally, it would really be best to take it all at once, if that is what they have directed you to do. Altering your dosage, or the way it is taken, in any way, could go against the contractual agreement you have with them that allowed you to get take homes....

I'm on parole and the test used shows that they test for thc, opiates and cocaine.
