Methadone Doctors In Nc

I'm trying to find a private doctor in the Charlotte North Carolina area that will prescribe me Methadone? I travel a lot with my job and the clinic is pretty much as inconvenient as possible. Anybody know one?

Many private doctors will not provide Methadone treatment, unless it is a last resort for pain and nothing else has worked.

It requires constant regular monitoring of the patient, as well as accountability to the government for all prescriptions written.

Have you considered a possible shorter-term treatment with Suboxone? Most people can successfully get off it, without severe problems, after treatment.

I am a Director of Quality for a manufacturing facility in Goldsboro. I am new to the area. i come from KY. where I am prescribed methadone by my family Dr for pain. I really, like desperatly need a local Dr. in Goldsboro / Wilson somewhere like that I can depend on to co ntinue my medication. I have been on this medication for over 12 yrs. know & do not abuse but obviously have to take it. CAN ANYONE HELP??? I can have my old Dr. send my medical records down here to whomever needs them.....

i was taking 10 or more pain pills a day.. then i was given methodone for help.. i need to find a doctor that will write me scripts for meth.. i live in the harrisburg ,PA... if anybody can help me... plzzz

I live here in indy I have been going to doctor for bout year now. I was takeing pain pills for a busted up back and I was takeing too many so I got a doctor to look at me and told him what I was tkeing. He clearly didn't want me on the perkasets or vicadins. So I have now been on the methadones for bout year. I need a doctor.please call me. 317-400-9227 ask michael

I Live in Waco TX. And YES, I HAVE TRIED SUBOXINE. I took it for 2 weeks, and the WHOLE 2 weeks I laid in bed And COULD NOT get up because my back Hurt SO BAD! I will NEVER put myself through that again!!

See I will be having surgery in less than a year to take the hardware out of my back. They say i will Not have any pain after that. So I WILL NOT need ANY medication!So i need to find a methadone DR to perscribe the Methadone until then!
As for the Clinics here. I went in and told them I needed the methadone for Pain, They tripped out. They proceeded to tell me that clinics CANNOT have patients taking methadone just for PAIN MANAGEMENT. So I Really DONT KNOW what to do!!
I just moved here to texas from AR specifically FOR the Methadone! Because I went to Almost EVERY Doctor in Northeast Arkansas and they said i NEED to take the Oxycodone for the pain,And i took that for 5 years. then my uncle overdosed from the Oxycodone so I wanted to GET OFF OF THE Oxycodone and take Methadone. I took it for a year and a half 2 yrs ago and it was a miracle drug! I lived a NORMAL life!!
And i really just neeed ONE PERSON to help me out to find a Doctor who CAN prescribe the Methadone Specifically For PAIN!

Hello Lewis, I saw your post that you are from KY. I'm in Lexington, KY looking for a new dr that will prescribe methadone. I just don't care for the 30s and 15s and that's all people seem to be getting. My dr moved away and I've been looking for a new one for a month. I am currently taking 2 -10 milligram methodone pills twice a day, for a total of 40 milligrams a day. Plus my doctor has me on oxycodone 10mgs. 4 times a day for my breakthrough pain. I need to find a place closer to my home. Does anyone know of a pain clinic that will prescribe methadone? It could either be in the Morristown, Tn area, or Lexington, Ky area. I would greatly appreciate the information.

Try AMHA at 9th and Market. ACT I and ACT II, one is near Broad and Olney, the other is near 4th and Berks, Lemme see, 21st and Washington, 8th and Girard - Goldman Clinic, there are about 9 or 10 methadone clinics in Philly. Also, go to the doctor at your previous clinic and tell him/her that you're being or have been detoxed dangerously fast. Describe your seizure(s) if you've had any, as well as the rest of your sick symptoms. You may be granted more days in the detox process. In the meantime, do your footwork so that you won't be left out sick! Good fortune !

I need and want to find a doctor who'll prescribe methadone. I live in Charlotte NC and am presently a client at a methadone clinic. When I became addicted to 'done, 15 years ago, it was a typical replacement for opiate addiction. Today, I'm 12 years clean and 10 years clean AND SOBER. The problem I'm confronted with is that although I no longer need methadone for addiction, I do need it for pain. I've slowly come down from 180 mgs to 65 and my pain has returned. (I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and I'm nursing a broken shoulder and multiple fractures in my foot - car accident) I really don't wish to remain in, what has become, a depressing setting/circumstance. If anyone knows of someone who can help me, please let me know! Thank you kindly.

Hi fellow Charlottean! Welcome to the area. I was going to the clinic too but husband insisted I had to get off of it bc we couldn't go anywhere for longer then 2 wks (max amt of take homes allowed, n I was at that level) but they didn't allow you to get more than that even when I needed to go outside the country for about 4wks. Never had a dirty drug panel except for the first one when I entered the program and was on a stable dose but the counselor tried everything and turns out that state funded/regulated treatment clinics require you to have at least 2 monthly visits. So I had to come off. I was so sick even though I tapered down (faster than recommended). Ended up having multiple seizures and was hospitalized n they put me on subutex. Now I'm rx 2-8mg a day but I've had l multiple relapses (I was able to stay clean on methadone for 6+yrs) so I want to go back to methadone. Did you ever find a private dr in or around town?? I do not want to do the clinic route again... Unless I have no other choice.

I ran into a friend a while back who found a private doctor in Charlotte who treats him. I'm kicking myself for not getting his name. So yes there is at least one in Charlotte who does.
