I have been on methadone for 10 years for fibro. I take 60-100 mgs a day. I have recently begun taking garcinia cambogia, green coffee bean and raspberry ketones for weight loss. Though they have been working, (I've lost 20 lbs) I've noticed about 1-2 hrs after taking them I start to withdraw. It doesn't matter if it's been 2 hrs or 10 hrs since my last methadone dose, my body acts like it's been 14+hrs as the anxiety clamps on like a vice and the nose turns into a faucet. Does anyone know if there is a withdrawal interaction or if this is just coincidence and I got a bad batch of methadone?

Here's what I don't understand.....I take 100mgs of methadone each day at a treatment clinic. I was very excited to order Garcinia Cambogia- g3000 and Grenn Coffee G-3000 because after being on methadone for almost 2 years consecutively; I have gained approx 30lbs. But why I am confused is I read a post on here explaining everyone's withdraw issues and one woman complained of Hydroxy cut throwing her into withdraw. I have been taking Hydroxycut and Zantrex3. One or the other while being on the methadone over the last 2 years. I just took hydroxy cut 3hrs ago, and I'm fine. Now I also am on 100mg and was only on 80 when I didn't take weightless pills. So, should I take the risk and try the cambogia since I had no reaction with the hydroxycut? Someone please let me know what you think and im sorry for all the ppl that a bad reacyion. METHADONE WITHDRAWAL IS NO JOKE!! Thanks in advance everyone for your info.

I just tried it today I took 3 pills at 10 this morning its 4 pm now and I don't feel any withdrawal I put on 40 pounds since starting methadone and I'm desperate to lose it so far I just feel a little anxiety but I'm ok

Well hun I'm very active I walk every day every where I go. And I eat right no junk low carbs low calorie and still put on the 40 pounds and can't seem to lose it so exercise is not always the problem your assuming all of these people don't exercise

To all those people having issues with taking methadone and garcinia together. Garcinia will block much of the uptake of methadone if it's still in your stomach when you take your methadone. Try taking your methadone 2-3 hours AFTER taking the garcinia. That way the garcinia can't block the methadone at your stomach. BUT, garcinia raises metabolism so you may find your methadone dose being metabolized much quicker than before.Taking a larger methadone dose is NOT recommended so if you cannot find a dosing schedule that minimizes your methadone being metabolized quicker to the point where you can deal with any adverse side effects, then you may have to stop the garcinia or talk to your Dr. About switching pain meds. It all depends on how badly you need/want to lose weight and the amount of discomfort you're willing to endure to reach that goal. You should ABSOLUTELY NOT submit yourself to full on methadone withdrawal on purpose for any reason! That can be life a life threatening decision you may not live to regret!
There are many other medications besides methadone that are very effective for chronic pain relief that won't have the more noticeable side effects when mixed with garcinia. Tell your Doctor's nurse to have the Dr. Research garcinia BEFORE you go in and then he/she can give you a much better recommendation about what you should take with the garcinia in place of methadone. Wow. You're a real sweetheart ain't ya?! Sry, but maybe not everyone has the incentive or the "get up and go" on them...not bc of laziness! Could be some may have medical issues that hinder them from being able to exercise or as you'd say "get off their butts" and "stop being lazy and depending on pills" right?

The garcinia cambogia makes your body digest everything superfast...that's why you lose weight and don't have to really chafe what your eating habits. But that's also why youy methadone isn't working. What I do is take the garcinia before my methadone. It still doesn't work as well as it should...but it works better than talking it after my methadone...hope I helped!! Good luck!

What's happening is that your metabolism is going up significantly and you're just burning through it. There's more than likely no side effects cause a problem other than clearing out the toxins and metabolizing it very quickly your body is seeing most of the "left over/built up stuff you have" and clearing it out. And you're also metabolizing it very quickly

I tried the vitadone also And it made me feel horrible. I felt sick n shaky. I just started the garcinia n 30 day cleanse that came with it n I started to feel like I was withdrawing about two hours later. I can't sleep n I'm sweaty n restless legs on top of the pain n goin to the bathroom constantly. Idk if its the garcinia or the cleanser or both.

My husband is actually on subutex and his insurance pays for it. 90- 8mg pills. He did have trouble in the beginning cus they didn't want to pay so he switched type of insurance an he's good now..reason y they give it to him, it works better. He was still sick taking the suboxone. But.. I'm on methadone clinic. My insurance pays it. I get dosed every day at a clinic 110mg solution. We both have addiction problems. I ordered the garcinia pills to lose weight cus I gained 92 pounds in a year. After a couple hours I didn't feel well, my stomach hurt and I got anxiety. I didn't know at time I mite be withdrawing, I just knew I took the pill n didn't feel well maybe cus I didn't eat. Few months later somebody mentioned to me that on methadone it puts u in withdrawal. That's when I googled it to see and come to find out people had similar reactions. Although I heard someone lost 30 pounds but they felt sick.

Hunney, you’ll be fine. There’s is no interaction. It’s all in your head. I’m on 209 mg of methadone and take Garcinia Cambogia and I’m fine. People think too much about it. Us drug addicts have these types of mind instincts becuz we are terribly afraid of withdrawals. I mean who isn’t?

Omg,I am so happy but scared I just read this I ordered garcinia and just took one of the 1000 mg pills then like a dork looked up if it would interact with my methadone.so now I am afraid Im going to withdraw but happy I found these responses that are here so ill stop.its hard to find things that are safe to take with methadone.well I will post if I have any problems.thanks

The most common reason in why you feel withdrawal after taking this garcinia is due to the metabolising of methadone. Garcinia sppeds up your metabolism, therefore breaking down your methadone quicker. So it pushes the your system faster.

Jenna and others that say "get off methadone" like its a flippin walk in the park. I HAVE TRIED TO GET OFF it WITH l' luck! I am almost 63 yrs old and I am on 110 mgs maintenance dose. I have been on it for 10 years and it is litterally killing me. Can ANYONE OUT THERE TELL ME ANYWAY, other than cutting back I can GET OFF IT. I very well may not live another year or two. I NEED A QUICK DETOX that won't KILL ME. I FEEL, damned if I do and Certainly damned if I don't! Please can someone, anyone help me?

Godzchild, You need to find a Dr. to prescribe Suboxone or Subutex. These are drugs that are half narcotic antagonists and half narcotic. The antagonist is like what you take for an opiate overdose, it eliminates the narcotics from your system INSTANTLY. But that would kill someone who's been on opioids for a long time! So... These drugs eliminate the drugs while giving you a maintenance dose at the same time! The narcotic in these is very strong, but the narcotic dose is much smaller than you are used to. One of the drugs is half opioid so you take that for a short time then switch to the other that is mostly an opioid antagonist. So within a few days, your body is cleared of narcotics and you can be drug free with relatively no withdrawal! Find a Dr. To get you these meds right away and good luck!! P.S.- many treatment centers now use these meds because methadone is just as addictive as the drugs you're trying to come off of!! Suboxone. Remember this name. It WILL save your life!
