If your story is true then your doctor in Colorado has compromised himself and the rest of his patients by prescribing controlled dangerous substances outside the scope of his DEA license. If you think as a patient benefiting from government assistance is going to accommodate your UNREASONABLE requests at your new Florida location I suspect you'll still be searching for such at the turn of the next century.Get a clue and join us in reality no one owes you a free ride in euphoria. Sorry but that entitlement issue drives me crazy
Traci,
If your truly serious about methadone maintence treatment ONLY YOU CAN DO THE FOOTWORK INVOLVED TO INVESTIGATE THE RELEVANT INFORMATION NEEDED TO BEGIN THIS JOURNEY!!!'
No one can do it for you. Patients in need of MMT usually expect others to do the work for them.As a long term patient on MMT and clean of all other substances I know THIS entitlement issues that MOST of US suffer or suffered from all to well.
If you contact your LOCAL SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCY THEY CAN FURNISH YOU WITH ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED TO GET STARTED. Only a Methadone clinic is legally permitted to medicate opiate dependent patients. Each clinic differs administratively and in financial terms. Many accept insurance and the ones that do not often accommodate those in need via a sliding scale payment basis.
I do agree to some of your points but im trying to live so would you please telll me the name of that doctor

$200????? My husbands Dr is 150 a month but I've called around many Dr's and heard outrageous prices for suboxone treatment. Plus the cost of script. I've had Medicaid so paid a $2 copay at my Dr. In Orlando. There needs to be more help for the ppl that want it...its cheaper and easier to be strung out on dope.

Moving to Bradenton from Colorado I see my PCP here ad he writes my Suboxen scrip 6 months at a time. How do I? A, get the ball rolling my medicaid in Bradenton (have SSI) And B, find a PCP Dr, to do the same for me with my suboxen so I don't have to go to a clinic.
Looking for a Methadone or Suboxone clinic that accepts State Medicaid in Vancouver, WA or Portland, Or area. Thank you everyone for any help you can offer.
I. need to know if got a clinic or program .acepted madicaid becose ican.t pay 428.00 dols monthlyfor that
Hi Brezzie, don't know if Orlando is to far away for you, but my Dr. is pain management, it's $200 a month (every 28 day's) and he will write scripts for a 28 day supply at a time, also will write sub's, it's much better than going to a clinic every day. This Dr. is great, he'll help get you off of em, if you feel your pain is now under control, or will write pain meds if you're suffering bad pain. He doesn't make you feel like an addict. He's there to help in that area. What is the best option for each individual. Every buddy is different when it comes to control pain. He's a really good Dr. Just don't try and con him, he's a good Dr. And won't just pass them out, but if you and him agree on what's the best course of treatment for you, he will help. Just reply to this and I'll get you the information you need to see him,..
I was put on methadone for 8 almost 9 years my doctor is no longer around. I am seeing a dr who is writing me roxicodone, but refuses to write me methadone. What he is prescribing me doesn't work that great. I'm disabled, I'm feeling like I have no choice but to got to a MMT in Alabama or Florida (Mobile or Pensacola) can anyone tell me any Drs that treat pain who believe in writing methadone?
Any in Jeffersonville Indiana or Louisville Kentucky?
Hi Jim, I live in FL.as well, and am also disabled, and I to have Medicare A, B, & D prescription coverage. Unfortunately, I still am not qualified for state aid. I was going to the methadone clinic in Texas, whereas I did. Every state is different, in FL. They take Medicaid, but not Medicare. I know it's messed up. So I had to go to a pain management doctor, and my scripts are covered. They can give you scripts for methadone or subs. The best thing to do is check with the clinic that your going to now, the may be able to recommend something....

I'm trying to find a pcp in kissimmee that prescribes either methadone or suboxen. Also accepts medicaid
I agree, I was a bad opiate addict when I was living in Texas, it got me off H. I was at the point of dosing just to stay well, when they got my dose right at 145 a day, I couldn't even feel the H anymore and was never sick or had cravings. Using the program correctly, it is a life saver, plus reduces crime cause you don't have to spend $150 a day to stay well...
Methadone is a short term "fix" for opioid addiction, it is not meant for long term use, and I don't like my tax dollars going to pay for someone's new addiction, long term. I have heard of people that have been on methadone for years...that was never the purpose of it and obviously its being abused...I am not speaking of you, I am speaking of people that abuse it and our govt that allows it.
