At noon I am taking Vogilbose combined with Metformin, and at night again Insulin + Reclide. Since last 4 months I have been suffering with allergic pimples in buttocks, groin, joint and head. For that, I have been taking medicines from the dermatologist but the same symptoms are recurring. Unable to find the reasons. Wondering whether these are due to meds or other reasons? Please guide me.
UpdatedHeritage brand Metformin did not work for me, but I took it for months and developed blisters around the outside of my mouth which is not herpes. Now back on Ascend Metformin and it is working for me. The blisters and inflammation are lessening but not completely gone. I was diabetic 2 and in the beginning prescribed Glipermide and Metformin but later it was suggested Metformin is not suitable if Uric acid is 1.5 or more, I had to stop it and was taking Glyciphage G1 but did not control sugar. I was suggested to take Insulin (First Insulatard and then Novomix 30) and Trajenta 5. This helped in controlling sugar to some extent. But some times I had spurt of FBS and RBS. I was on Metformin for 25 years. Dr told me to stop using it switch to Gilpizide because I am 80 years old. Apparently it could take you out in that age group. Cold turkey, I had severe chills for a couple of days accompanied by muscle and joint pains and a headache. Day 10 was somewhat improved as far as chills go. I am hanging in there with the glipizide Dose that was doubled. But the glucose level is still high.
