I have a lot of allergies i.e.: food, dyes, hay fever, chemicals, etc...how can I find out the exact fillers that are put in Glucophage & Metformin? ## Dear Gabriel, Sorry to hear about your reaction to the medication. is it safeto take this medicine if you are on blood pressure meds that also has a diaretic in it? ## It really depends on the exact ingredient of the blood pressure medications. I did check the interactions between Metformin and several of them and, so far, they have all come up with the same warning that if the patience experiences any type of renal impairment and dehydration, it can increase the likelihood of Lactic Acidosis. Have you asked your doctor or pharmacist about this? Can you post back with the specific blood pressure medication you are asking about? ## Metropitol is my blood pressure meds will lipozene interfere with it ## my high blood pressure pills are called coversyl i take them with metformin and asa 81 also glicizide is this safe?

I have been taking Metformin XR 500 MG for about 2 years after having an issue with nausea with regular Metformin. In an effort to lower my reliance on meds I began cutting the 500 MG pill in half about 6 months ago and in the last 2 mos have had constant nausea and some diarrhea. Stopped Metformin about 6 weeks ago but still having same issues. Nausea level is about 3-5 on a scale of 1-10. It appears that I should not have split the pills in half. My stomach “growls” constantly and I plan to see a gastroenterologist. I am tired regularly and no longer exercising. ## The ER designates it as being a time released formulation, so no, it should not be cut, or broken, as that could cause you to get too much of the medication, at once. I have been on this drug for almost 4 weeks now. I have had diahrea really bad. It is always like water. Everything I eat goes straight through. I have been taking anti diarhea pills with no help. I have lost ten pounds. Diet did work somewhat but did not put my blood sugar numbers into the "normal zone". I began taking metformin again recently to further reduce my blood sugar and to lose weight. As long as I eat NO SUGAR, NO BREAD, NO RICE, NO POTATOES, NO PASTA AND NO RICE - I never have diarhea now. LOW CARB IS THE WAY TO GO IF YOU HAVE DIABETES. ## Yes, the diarrhea can be a normal side ...
