The last Metformin we received had 43 31 on the pill. Before that is said 93 48. The new pill is not working. Manufactre is Teva. Any suggestions? ## Does the 4331 pill have an hourglass logo in front of 4331 and 500 on the other side? If so this is Metformin 500 mg. The 93 48 pill, 93 on one side and 48 on the other is also Metformin 500 mg. Since it is the same drug and the same milligrams, they both should be just as effective. i want to know about the side effects.... will we gain weight while consuming this tablet? ## This contains 500mgs of Controlled Release Metformin, commonly used to help treat diabetes. I have a round white pill with the imprint of I 45 (the I has a line across the top and bottom). The manufacturer is Solco Healthcare. What is this pill? ## It is 500 mgs. of Metformin. I was just given this pill today, as before I was taking 500 mgs. but the company was Apotex. Big round white pill. One side has a G on the top and 45 on the bottom. The other side has 850. This is a pretty big pill. My 500 mg metformin has an inscription on it: IP 178.
