Hello,

Based on my research, Metanx is a prescription multivitamin that contains three active ingredients: L-methylfolate calcium, the active form of folic acid; methylcobalamin, the active form of vitamin B12; and pyridoxal 5'-phosphate, the active form of vitamin B6. This dietary supplement is meant to control symptoms associated with diabetic nerve damage, such as burning, tingling or numbness.

Warnings/side effects:

Some medical conditions may interact with Metanx. Be sure to let your doctor or pharmacist know if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:

if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement

if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding

if you have anemia

if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances.

Check with your doctor if any of these most common side effects persist or become bothersome:

Drowsiness, feeling of swelling of the entire body, mild diarrhea, numbness or tingling.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); dizziness, or itching.

You can learn more about this drug on the page for Metanx Details

I hope the info helps!
