My overall energy was restored and feelings of tiredness that I'd experienced for years were finally over. The only negative side effects are the increase of body hair. Noticeable increase in underarm hair growth, pubic hair growth and chest hair distribution. My stomach was smooth prior to Axiron, now it's hairy. Also, my whiskers/beard are more coarse since being on Axiron. ## Hello, Scott! How are you? I'm glad that it's working so well for you. Other side effects that you may experience, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include skin irritation, redness, rash, irritability and headache. Are there any questions or comments?
After use of 1 pill, eyes turn red and stay red for 2-3 days. No loss of sight or blurr. Is this a side effect of no concern? ## Hello, Wisely! How are you? Eye redness can be a side effect of Sildenafil, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, stuffy nose, priapism and low BP. However, the concern is that the redness lasted that long. Have you consulted your doctor? You may be having a slight allergic reaction to the medication, which means you shouldn't continue to take it, if that's the case. ## Thank you very much for the response. I will contact doctor to be sure it is not allergic reaction. Very helpful and if you happen to think of any other suggestions in regards to the red eye, please post for knowledge.
I was prescribed Flomax to help pass my first ever kidney stone. Is it normal to have to take this for 30 days? This seems like a long time to me. ## Hi Kimberly, Based on my research, Flomax is not intended to be used as short term treatment. As long as you aren't experiencing any negative side effects, just take it as prescribed as your doctor. I've read that Lemon Juice can be quite effective for those trying to pass the kidney stones. I'm sure you could also substitute other citrus fruits for lemons as well. I've read that juicing grapefruits is really good for the body- and since it's a citrus fruit I imagine it could help a great deal! I hope this helps! ## You can not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while taking flomax. This caution is on the prescrip...
Just want to know what it is, i found a broke pill only a half of it with 20 on it,. Its a golden beige color and football or egg shaped, ## Hello, Kristen! How are you? Based on that description, especially the color, it sounds like you might have found a 20mg Cialis tablet manufactured by Eli Lilly. It is most commonly used to treat ED and the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stuffy nose and priapism. Is there anything else I can help with?
Trying to identify a pill, green blue, four sided ## Hello, Twrinkle! How are you? This is actually a foreign version of Viagra that's called Kamagra. It contains the active ingredient Sildenafil and is used to treat ED. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stuffy nose and priapism. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have been told that Korean Ginseng and Ginkgo are both good for Erectile Dysfunction. I cannot find a proper dosage listed on any sites. I would appreciate any information I can get and any other recommended herbal or natural remedy for erectile Dysfunction. I am always in the mood but my body part only gets 40 to 50 percent erect. Thanks so much ## Hello, Sarge! How are you? There are all kinds of claims made about these and most other herbal supplements, but they aren't actually proven to help with anything, which is they they are just classified by the FDA as supplements. Have you consulted your doctor for assistance? Many cases of ED are easily treatable, though I do understand that it can be embarrassing to talk to your doctor about. Are you on any other medications?
I found a kinda flat small round baby blue pill what is it and it has no markings on it at all ## Finasteride, a common prescription for BPH--prostate problems, looks like this. I was amazed to see that an actual prescription drug had no markings at all. Is this legal?

Is it normal to have black and blue looking scares. I stopped get my testopel injections cause the area was hurting me all the time plus my last injection the pellets after a month starting coming out. Is any of the normal. ## Hello, Msk! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you've had. No, that's not typical. There may be some bruising and irritation upon initial insertion, but that should go away in a few days and they shouldn't be coming out. I think you may do better seeing a different doctor. The FDA lists this as being a hormonal supplement and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Just had my second testopel implant done. The first time the mino...
What are the levels that are checked other than testasterone levels. I'm using testopel. ## @RDM, According to the manufacturer's website for Testopel, "your doctor may periodically do tests to check for liver damage, as well as any signs of an increased red blood cell count if you are receiving higher doses." Ref: testopel.com/faqs I'm not aware of them checking for anything else outside of what is mentioned above, but you may still want to talk with your doctor as well just to be sure. Hope this helps! ## My doc says he will check blood work including the t count, PSA, and an exam for enlarged prostate after 2 months. ## They routinely (or should routinely) check PSA + physical exam, red blood cell counts, two separate T level checks, estrogen protein, and Pituitar...
I want to know what is the best way to apply fortesta because I'm getting inconsistent blood levels even though I do the same process every day. I've been rubbing the gel in until it's dried (like you would do with a lotion) but maybe it's just supposed to be spread into a smooth layer on your skin and allowed to air dry. I am applying to the inner/front thigh as specified in the directions. ## Hello, Townie! How are you? I don't know of anyone that gets consistent levels, even using these supplements. Many have even reported a good level after a month or so of use, then a sudden dip, again. However, the application instructions do say to spread it evenly and then give it a few minutes to dry, so I'm assuming you're not supposed to completely rub it in. The F...

I'm 43 year old Australian with borderline low testosterone levels who's been suffering from 'feeling like an old man' for the past 2 years. I've just started using Axiron in the last week (2 pumps a day) and already I feel a lift in energy levels and libido. The only downside is the occasional hot flush and difficulty getting to sleep. I'm sure that those minor issues will pass over time. I also take 125 mcg Thyroxine each day for hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's Disease). I look forward to more benefits from Axiron in the future. I should also add that a 110ml container of Axiron costs around $40 (yes, forty) Australian dollars (approx. US$35), compared to US$400 per container in the US. Thank goodness for taxpayer subsidised medicine in Australia (Pharmaceutical B
Updated in AxironMild heart attack after taking AndroGel. I started taking AndroGel for low testrone levels on Saturday, Sunday right after I used it I felt funny. Monday after using it my chest was hurting, Tuesday after taking it I could not breath, sweating, sick at my stomach and felt like someone was sitting on my chest. Heart attack symptoms called 911 rushed to hospital and had had a mild heart attack. AndroGel the cause don't know but it did save my life. I had a blockage and got a stent put in my heart. Scared to use it anymore. Never know if I would have had a full heart attack or not but it did appear the AndroGel was the cause since it started the second day I used it. Never know what medicine can do to us. Has anyone else had this problem? ## If you had a blockage big enough to have req...
can you apply triamcinolone acetonide ointment to the red and irritated spots from the use of the gel. ## Hello, Harry! How are you? I wouldn't suggest doing so, unless your doctor has told you to. It may cause more irritation, since it contains a steroid, which is the Triamcinolone. Sometimes, it can make certain skin conditions or irritation worse. Its typical side effects may include skin redness, irritation and acne. How badly is the Fortesta irritating your skin? Have you consulted your doctor about it?
Started testosterone injections for low t about 2 1/2 years ago. Could not manage levels on injections so doctor prescribed Axiron. Been on two pumps daily for the past 2 years. Only positive things to say. Lost belly fat I had gained, energy level as well as libido are much higher, more fullness while flaccid as well as much stronger erections. Only negative side effect is body hair growth. Buy some clippers when you get your prescription. ## I have had the same exact results after stopping injections. Lost belly fat, libido is much higher, gained 1" in flaccid state and like you said- buy some clippers.
I am trying to find out the name of this pill it is diamond shaped with 100 on one side and Z on the other ## Hello, Rohan! How are you? I can't be completely sure, since they appear to be from a foreign source, but it seems that these pills may be a foreign version of Viagra, which is used to treat ED. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stuffy nose and priapism. Can anyone confirm this?
To find resonable price for cialis ## Hello, Just to confirm, Cialis is only available with a doctor's prescription here in the US. However, if you're looking for ways to save money on the script, MedsChat actually offers a drug discount card that can save you anywhere from 15% to 75% off your Rx, potentially cutting the cost drastically. You can learn more about it on the following page: RX Savings Card If there any Calias patients here who wouldn't mind posting what the typical cost of their prescription is, maybe that will also give others a better idea of what prices to anticipate before committing to a doctor's appointment... Hope this helps!
I want to keep my levels more consistent has anyone tried to split up the pumps. Meaning my doc prescribed 2 pumps a day at night after I shower. I was thinking of 1 pump at night before I go to sleep and 1 pump in the am before I go to work to keep my testosterone levels more balanced instead of 2 pumps at once. If anyone has tried this I would like to know the results, tomorrow will be my first completed week, thanks. ## Hello, Justin! How are you? I don't think there'd be any harm in trying it, but I am not a doctor, so I strongly urge you to consult yours, before making such a change. The FDA lists this as being a hormonal supplement and lists the typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, headache, skin irritation, mood swings and irritability. Has anyone tried i...
I have been on Cialis daily 5mg mainly for BPH for about two (2) months and it has definitely helped. I have also enjoyed the added bonus of assisting me with ED. The past few weeks, the ED benefits seem to have lessened. A bit of backstory: I am 69 and have only one testicle, one removed five (5) years ago due to severe prostate infection which "ate through" part of the testicle and causing severe, chronic pain. As a result of this, I have been getting ten (10) of the TESTOPEL pellets inserted in my backside every three (3) months. I LITERALLY am a different man as the time approaches for the implantation to be done i.e., much-reduced energy, depression, libido and general mood. Has anyone had experience where the daily 5mg Cialis is not as effective after a period of time. I w...
