Okay, it isn't that a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory does cause liver problems, but there is a risk that it might cause them. The same for the drinking and combining the two increases that risk.
Since this is a prescription medication, is she seeing the prescribing doctor regularly? Because, if so, they should be monitoring her and occasionally doing blood work to check her liver function.
And is that doctor aware that she drinks?
