Recently started taking meloxicam for painful lower extremities. I take 7.5 mg once a day. Can I take 2 tylenols at night to avoid too much meloxicam since I still have some pain? Also, I saw online an additive to water etc called buzz drops which contain cbd and thc. Can I use this while taking meloxicam? I normally like a glass or 2 of wine a day but want to avoid alcohol due to possible stomach issues. ## For Meloxicam with Tylenol - yes, you can take Tylenol with Meloxicam. They work in different ways and don’t clash. A normal dose of Tylenol at night is usually safe, just don’t go over the daily Tylenol limit (3,000 mg per day for most adults), and avoid it if you have liver problems. As for taking Meloxicam with CBD/THC, they don’t directly interact with meloxica...
Just started on 7.5mg once a day for bursitis of the hip. I enjoy a glass or 2 of wine a day. Is this ok? ## It’s usually okay to have a small amount of alcohol while taking meloxicam, but there are a couple things to keep in mind. Meloxicam is an NSAID, kind of like a stronger version of ibuprofen. Both meloxicam and alcohol can irritate your stomach. When you mix them, the chance of things like stomach pain, heartburn, or even stomach bleeding goes up — especially if you drink a lot. For most people, having one glass of wine, and sometimes two, is probably fine as long as: - They don’t have a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding - They aren’t taking other meds that irritate the stomach - They drink with food - They stick to small amounts If you ever notice bla...
I had bunion surgery 7 wks ago. my foot is still swolen and in a lot of pain. I took my 1st 15 mg Meloxicam last evening and was wondering how long it takes to take effect. Also it seems that most people have been prescribed Meloxicam for muscle pain and arthritis do you think it's appropriate for me since mine is an acute injury? I'm a bit fearful of taking this med due to it's possible side effects. ## Hello, Renee! How are you? The FDA classifies Meloxicam as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that is used to treat pain, fever and swelling, so yes, it can also be used for problems such as yours. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. It should have some pain relief properties shortly afte...
I have been taking meloxicam for 1 1/2 weeks and I am experiencing celiac symptoms. I would like to know if meloxicam is gluten free. ## Meloxicam is actually a generic medication, the name brand for it would be Mobic and, since it is a generic, it is manufactured by several different companies. Thus, I can't tell you anything about the inactive ingredients without more information from you, such as the markings on the tablet, or the name of the manufacturer. Can you please post back with this information? ## I would like to know if gluten is in my meloxicam. It's an oblong light yellow pill with a 15 stamped on it. I'm expericening floating, constipation, and stomach pains. ## Is taking muscle relaxers 500mg and meloxicams 7.5mg and buspirone 10mgs okay to take all in the m...
Can I take these two medicines together? I normally take Sumatriptan for migraines. I fell on the ice and hurt my shoulder and the Orthopedic has me taken 1 Meloxicam a day. I have a bad migraine and need to know if I can take a Sumatriptan. ## While I haven't come across any drug interactions or contraindications suggesting that it's unsafe to take the two together, I think it would still be wise to consult your prescribing doctor just to be on the safe. That way they can cross-check for other determining factors as well based on your medical records. You can also read more about each medication in the links below: [1] Meloxicam [2] Sumatriptan Hope this helps!

I've been prescribed Meloxicam 7.5 mg. I was told to take one at night but this wasn't very effective, after seeing my doctor he said to double the dose. Is it more effective to take one twice daily or 2 once a day? At the moment I take it twice daily but it still isn't very effective is there another safe drug to take along side or a different drug to combat the pain I gave osteoarthritis in my hands and seems like my forearms as well. ## Hello, Gary! How are you feeling? Sorry about the osteoarthritis. Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it can be taken with other pain medications that are in different classes, or replaced with another NSAID that is more potent, but what is safe for you to try is up to your doctor. Meloxicam may cause side effects, such as na...
How often can it be taken? My RX says once a day. Is it ok to take 1 in the AM and 1 in the PM? ## I take 15mg meloxicam in the morning and it seems to do ok, but by bed time I have pain and can't sleep. There is a gluten free drugs list at glutenfreedrugs.com and they list the name brand Mobic as being gluten free. Learn more Mobic details here. You may want to ask your doctor about prescribing it as 'brand medically necessary', so your insurance will cover it and the pharmacy can't give you a generic. Is meloxicam a sulfur drug? If you are allergic to sulfur can you take meloxicam? ## Hello, Suzy! How are you? Are you allergic to sulfur, or to sulfa drugs? They aren't actually the same exact things. When you are talking about being allergic to the sulfa drugs it actually refers to Sulfonamides. And no, Meloxicam isn't one of them. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My daughters tongue broke out in severe pain. Cost me more money. She is allergic to Sulpher. She then had 2 more Dr. spots and was diagnosed with yeast infection of tongue. Which now I know it was this drug. ## I’m allergic to sulfa drugs (found out with bactrim, itchy rash o...
I have a small round white pill. One side is stamped with C, the other 158. The only pills I can ID like this say that they are yellow, but this is white. Can anyone identify it for me please? ## Hi mb ... Are you sure that your tablet isn't just a really light yellow? It is most likely Meloxicam 7.5 mg from Cipla (NDC 69097-158). DailyMed describes this pill as "yellow coloured, round, biconvex tablets, debossed with '158' on one side and 'C' on the other". They also say that "Meloxicam is a pale yellow solid" - so to me that could mean there's a chance it could almost appear white under certain lighting. Plus there aren't any coloring agents listed under the inactive ingredients. The inactive ingredients listed on the NDC page are: - Colloid...

As long as your doctor approves, but it may cause more stomach side effects than you would have if you weren't drinking coffee.
