My mother had congested heart failure and kidney failure 2 mo ago her kidneys are fine but she has a weak heart and lost all her appetite I need to show her Dr what are the ingredients of Megestrol AC to see if she can take this.He need to make sure it does not have steroids.

Megestrol Acetate is a steroidal progestin and progesterone derivative and, due to some of the side effects it can cause, it is probably not safe for her to use, because of the congestive heart failure.
One of its side effects can be fluid retention, which is what actually caused CHF.
