Yes, the Trazodone has been known to cause false positives for LSD.

Thus, as long as you have a prescription for it, you should make sure to inform them of that, when you go in for testing.

I would greatly appreciate anyone's help on if taking over the counter Benadryl can cause a False/Positive for Methadone ? And can anyone direct me to a site that has a professional & factual list of "over the counter meds can cause false/positive results"? I would like to have some legitimate documentation to print out to show my doctor.
Appreciate any help as soon as possible!

PS: does the medication Vistaril show up on a urine drug screen as anything??

I had the Methadone come up in my urine too. Benadryl, Vistaril, and Ibuprofen along with the Unisom that is not the generic benadryl.. its ingredient is doxyalamine.. WILL show a false positive for Methadone. If you Google "What medications can show a false positive for Methadone?" there is SEVERAL good medical links that will list them. Hope that helps!!

Yes benadryl can make you show a negative positive for methadome. Im on probation and have to attend a drug prevention class and failed my first drug test for methadome. I have never taken or even seen methadome before in my life. So be careful when you are about to take a drug test

LB I'm sorry to hear of this , as for it feels as though you are guilty until proven innocent but I know there were a lot of drug dealing ,docs, patients , and clinic owners etc. A grew monthly newsletter called Painnewsnetwork. Very good article about false positives

Im prescribed clonidine, lisinopril, hydrochlorothiazide, norco, ultram and a over the counter allergy medication. I sometimes take gabapentin. i took a drug screen for probation knowing i was going to pass and i didnt. She told me over the phone i failed for benzos but she wont tell me what else i failed for until i see her monday. I havent taken anything else so why would i fail? If these meds are taken together would it show up as something else and does anyone know what it would be? Im fighting to get my son back from my ex husbands mom because i signed guardianship to her because i was going to prison. I have been out for a year now and there is no way i will take something to jeopardize me getting him back or become the addict again like i was 3 years ago. please help.
