Meclizine Weight Gain Side Effects?

I have been prescribed Meclizine for dizziness, and it is working fine on that part. I was wondering if there was any weight gain side effects from this medication. I am on others that to have that as a side effect, but I just think that I am gaining too much weight too fast, and was wondering if this was also a weight gainer.

Meclizine is an antihistamine, that can also be used to treat anxiety, dizziness, nausea, and as a mild sedative.

That said, yes, weight gain can be a side effect of most antihistamines, when they are taken regularly. Other side effects may include headache, drowsiness, and dry mouth.
