Mazon Cream (Page 2)

for eczema, psoriasis- seeping, cracking, blistering skin- I personally used it from the age of 6 mos. in 1955 to 1988, then it disappeared from shelves- it was an over the counter cream and it really worked. At the age of 3 months my skin would swell, crack and seep a clear liquid- a pediatrician introduced the cream to my mother and at the time they had a bar soap, shampoo and cream-of which I used occasionally over the course of 30 years then all of a sudden it disappeared. I did have part of a jar I used sparingly and guarded with my life and I called the company that made the cream and they said that they took the recipe out of circulation. The jar is long gone- sadly and I do not know the name of the pharmaceutical company that originally made it. I now am entering menopause and my skin has flared up out of control and cortisone creams makes my skin thin and easily bruised beneath the surface which is just as unsightly as the redness, swelling and seeping but not as painful. I really long for a good skin product. Mazon was a beige cream that resembled the inside of a milky way candy bar and I believe if I remember correctly that it was a tar based cream. I have tried other tar based ointments but the oily bases tend to only create more problems- even cortisone ointment does not work only the cream- but prolonged use has so many other negative effects- as I stated above thin skin, easily bruised-like blood looks like elderly skin that has a blood spill beneath the first layer of skin and I also notice very hairy growth from the cortisone on the forearms- thank goodness I'm a blonde. Anyway, do you know of this product Mazon or one similar that has been known to have good results??? Help Please send me any information on anything comparable- have you ever heard of MAZON cream??? Is it available again, if so where?
Many thanks for the phone number to Dannorth Labs. I will give it a try.
Mazon medicated cream appears to only be available via mazon-online.
This is where you can still get Mazon cream (I just got two jars myself): [email protected], it's from Dannorth Natural Laboratories Inc. 1885 Elements Road Unit #229 Pickering Ontario L1W3V4 Canada. I used it on my son when he was a baby. It took it away completely. It really works and I have always ordered it for friends.
Sorry you can't find Mazon. I did find it on Amazon, and it is only made in Canada. It costs 29.95 a jar plus 10.00 shipping. Took 5-7 days to get to me. You need an Amazon account or know somebody who does that will order for you. Good luck.

Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I just purchased Mazon cream from Dannorth natural products. The phone number is 1-866-668-7993. I paid 2999 plus shipping and tax. The company who makes Mazon cream is Dannorth. I'm purchasing this cream for my one year old granddaughter who scratches her skin so bad that it bleeds. She has scratches all over her body. Right now she's on prednisone because nothing else is working. My mom did the same thing to her skin when she was a child and my grandmother found Mazon cream. It was the only thing that would work for her so I'm going to try it for my granddaughter. I will let you know how it works for her.
You can still have a mazon type cream made with a prescription in Canada. Products with coal tar can no longer be sold because coal tar is a carcinogenic and considered bad for regular use. There are lots of compounding pharmacies that can do the job!
My husband used it for his eczema until it seemed to become unavailable. We would like to buy it again as his eczema has flared up.
No, they are not out of business. My chiropractor (here in Cincinnati) was so impressed with the product that I brought to his massage therapist and administrative clerk, who both were horribly affected by psoriasis, that he ordered it from dannorthlabs. This cream was also sent to a friend of mine in the Netherlands, right after the war, when an American soldier noticed that my friend's father had a severe case of eczema. It cleared up his eczema. The father was a coalminer and his little girl also had it. My sister-in-law in Canada grew up with psoriasis and when I asked her about Mazon cream, she said, I used it twenty years ago and it really helped. When I see all the ads on TV (all of a sudden the pharmaceuticals have located a possible gold mine, but some take 4 months to see any improvement, whereas Mazon clears the problem up in less than a week.) I wonder if they are making hay and not allowing the company that makes Mazon to produce their stuff anymore. They also make soap and shampoo. Do everything you can to obtain that cream. It works!!!
I really want to find more Mazon cream. Are they out of business? Is there any way I can find some old stock? Thnks
Have you found anything? My mother in law says the same thing about mazon. Have you found the replacement you were looking for? Please let me know. My email is {edited for privacy}. Thank you.
I had eczema as a baby (1945) and my pediatrician gave us an RX salve made with mazon and sulfathiozole which my whole family used for all skin wounds until the ingredients left the market.... Probably replaced by Neosporin or Bacitracin. My mom died at age 85 still nursing our last prescription that she used for burns and paper cuts. I still have a small amount left and find it helps abrasions and burns heal better than newer products. It allows the skin to heal under the scab and keeps the scab pliable so it doesn't itch or pull off so easily.
Can you tell me which website you purchased Maxon cream? I'm having difficulties finding this online for delivery to the UK.
Why did they stop selling Mazon Cream?
You are correct. I remember it contained Mercury, and I'm sure that's why it suddenly disappeared from the market. But everyone here is correct - it seemed to cure any skin problem!
Hello I'm from Regina, SK also. I have been using Mazon creme for about 10 years. I use to be able to purchase it here, but I can't find it anymore. Did you find a place that carries it?
I can only get Mazon cream now from Canada (Dannorth Natural Products). Only trouble is it's about $20 a jar coming from Canada. I can find it nowhere in the US. This worries me somewhat. I had it so bad when I was a baby. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital and my mom would put mazon in quart jars, and it cured me.
Mazon is still sold in Canada. It was banned in U.S. years ago. Just Google it.
My mother used Mazon to treat my eczema, that was so bad that I would scratch my arms until they bled. Dry, ugly, seeping cracks on a 4-year-old, or anyone of any age is terrible. My condition lasted from 1944-1950. Mazon didn't cure my condition, but it stopped the terrible itching, which promoted healing. I think it came in a dark blue bottle. Go Mazon!
I found a reference to an old bottle giving the mercury amount as 1/3 gram per ounce of ammoniated mercury.
I haven't found anything new. Sorry
