Mp 577 Vs. Ig 283

My insurance overrode my treating physician. They changed my Cyclobenzaprene, a small round yellow (MP 283), to a cyclobenzaprine, (577) a same size white pill. I only took this medication when I needed it. And I was comfortable with what I used before. It worked for me. I also take Hydrocodone 7.5 mg. (again ., only when I need it). I've been on this program for over two decades. DOI 11/96. Was this decision made with my well being in mind or financial interests?

Hello, Cee Jay! How are you doing?

Are you sure your insurance company made this decision and it wasn't just your pharmacy?

It is normal for any pharmacy to change the generic they carry depending on which company is offering the cheapest price via their distributor, whenever they have to restock their supply, of any given medication. Given this, you may receive the same generic for months, or years, then suddenly receive a different one. Your doctor usually has no say in which generic you receive, they can only specify whether or not you must be given the name brand, or if a generic is acceptable.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dizziness.
