Lyrica Lawsuit (Page 36) (Top voted first)

Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

Stephanie, when were you on lyriica. How long were you on it. How long ago did you got off it. Are you still having memory lapses. I was 57 years old. I am now 61. Before lyrica I was a lpn. I transferred into respiratory. I went to oll via correspondence via a college in california. In 1995, after four years I graduated and passed my boards the first time. My memory was excellent. I became an rr with two associate degrees. After being on lyrica my memory was shot. In june of 2007, I was given the choice resign or be fired. My memory was failing me. I chose to resign. Istill havememory problems and I have been off this drug @ least four years. I have trouble getting a job because I have trouble learnig things that I need to remember. My heart goes out to you. I hope you get better.:-)

Yes I have and when I have isolated pain in my feet they work great. However, with nerve damage from peripheral neuropathy the area may be too diverse for them. I tried Lyrica and got off it after two month because of weight gain, brain fog and exhaustion. I feel Lyrica is a bad drug and not worth the gain, if any. It seems only a narcotic like percs help with wide spread pain

I would first like to say my heart goes out tp everyone.Im suffering from the use of this horrible. Drug lyrica. It has changed my life forever. I developed an autoimmune luecopinia. My skin is all scarred up from skin infections. Gland problems, stones in my glands, and kidney stones, thoughts of death my family has the police come out more than once .pain all over my body, weight gain, dizziness, sleepy all the time. This drug is the worst medication, not to mention pain not being able to go to the bathroom and when I did I would blackout,.and horrible horrible pain in the head joint pain,bone pain. And female problems ...

Hi Sherry , thank you so much for your reply , LYRICA IS STILL A RELATIVELY NEW drug in the world and untill enough people have suffered with it , i dont think any Lawers will take it on, although i believe there is more than enough evedence now . My sons Doctor just bauked at us and said the Lyrica would have worn off by now as did a Pharmacist friend of mine , this is very fustrating as i know what my son was like before , during and after treatment and i am a very highly analitical type of person and dont jump to conclusions over nothing . This wil be a matter of the right people takeing notice and doing some thing about it and sufferers fighting for every inch gained .Was going to try Lyrica my self for disc damage in my thoracic spine as i to work in hospitals but unfortunatly my son was the first to find out how nasty this drug really is . I was on Lyrica 2 different times.
The first time I had other issues going on and did not relate the problems to the Lyrica. I was on it for about 6 months that time. I was off for a period of about 9 months and my physician wanted me to try it again. Being ignorant of the problems associated with it and remembering it did relieve some of the overall pain I had with Fibromyalgia, I tried it again. I was on it for about 18 months. I came off it because of the memory, eyesight, and fatigue problems. I am still suffering from memory problems, eyesight, dizziness, and many other symptoms. It has been about a year since I went off and I still have fatigue and other assorted problems that I did not have previous to taking Lyrica. You could not PAY me to take it again. I hope, no I pray they will stop prescribing this drug. I talked to my doctor about it and was "pooh-poohed" out the door. Time WILL tell and I am afraid too many people will learn about it the hard way. I tell everyone I know to not take it, even on a trial basis.

I went to the left side of this page and told my story to the medicine communiity link. There you can twitter and facebook the effects and dangers of lyrica. You can also leave this web sight so others can read about lyrica. Leave your message on their wall. Maybe we as a group can reach more people and get something going. Next thing you will know is they will take aspirin, tylenol ,, advil or alieve off the market for pain and still leave lyrica on so that they can get their money back in research and development and still make a profit. That is all they care about. They do not care that this drug has ruined many lives. Tell your story. Ask them to come to this site and speak out. We are only a few right now. Contact the news servicers like, NBC, ABC, CBS

Hi Dianne , my 19 year old son got the same attitude from his doctor when he complained about long term memory loss from being on Lyrica , very fustrating and takeing a blinds mans view is very unproffesional , how do these idiots ever acknoledge problems asociated with newer drugs , it feels like there is a conspiricy going on with Lyrica .

I am from Canada, I have beed perscribed Lyrica to treat low back issue, I have noted the memory loss ( I am a dyslexic and use my memory to be able to function in a written world) bad vision and weight gain. I would like to add to the list of countries that could assist in this fight

I keep reading and reading and readin and I am just hofifued how many of us hae all these side afects and no one will listen. I too sufer from long and short term memory and suisidal thoughts and have at times been on up to 900 mg of lyrica a day, We are the guine pigs for this drug and god knows how many more are being put on it or are on it and dont understand what is happening too them. I am at a loss, I have been trying for years to get a lawyer to even listen, noone will. Its sad and I am sure there is someone out there who has died rom either the effects or the suicidal part of it, we just font know, I as I am sure many of you are on Lyrica surviviors. there are so many of us, so so many vicky

Dawn , i feel so sorry for what Lyrica has done to you . Lyrica seems to effect different people in different ways adversely, but in simmilar ways and no one is listening to us .

Maybe if we can get this website to facebook or twitter,about lyrica and it's side effects, we can find more people who are having problems with lyrica and can use this site. Then if we can convince some lawyer to take the case and do a class action suit. More people will be visiting this site. As it is tere are not many of us and if you are like me you just stumbled here.. we have got to get the word out!!

Hello, I have been taking 600 mgs a day since Dec. 2007, Since then I have had 5 teeth pulled and I need another 4 more pulled, sometimes I have to pause to recall the most simple word while taliking with my wife. I have had suicidal thoughts at times. I ran out of Lyrica one time and it was the most terrible 2 days of my life. I haveis nerve damage ( fell off roof ) and without Lyrica, I could not get through the day. So it damned if I do and damned if I don.t. I would certainly been on board with a class action law suit!!! Canada

I only took Lyrica for about 3 months....maybe 4...lost my job because I couldn't remember how to do even the simplest things...35 year RN and did not know how to hang an IV...I resigned...not fired...they did not want me to leave...felt I was unsafe...did not drive for about 9 months..still have problems driving at times....cannot remember the dosage...threw them out...my memory is no way as good as it used to be....got lost in a deparment store yesterday...did not remember where the dressing room was that my daughter was in...had to have assistance....took 15 minutes to find my daughter in the dressing room...this is soooooo not me....B

Your story sounds a lot like mine. I was alpn for 8 years and the other 21 years I was a respiratory therapist. In june of 2007, I was asked to resign or be fired. I had memory losses on lyrica and I was only on it a couple of months. They even demmanded I get a blood alchohol test because lyrica made me look and sound drunk. Even after all these years I still have memory loss. I have left all my licenses expire because no hospital would hire me, even the small ones. They said I was underqulified. I had worked @ a trauma two hospital, in icu, ccu, emergency trauma room, open heart patients, managed ventilators. And I was considered UNDERqualified by hospitals that had the bare minimum. I hope someday you will feel better.

Mary & Everyone- There is a Facebook Page called Lyrica Survivors. Many people there are interested in a lawsuit but it has mainly turned into a support system & way to get the word out about this awful drug.

Becca , Lyrica seems to be the next worse drug since Thalidamide, with Thalidamide you only lose your arms or legs but with Lyrica it is memory , speach , eye sight , and the ability to conentrate , and with my son ,Lyrica triggered a very severe anxiety disorder .To many have lost there jobs because of Lyrica , had there lives ruined all because of this inadequatly tested vile drug .
