Lyrica And Codeine

Hi everyone,

I am still on a progressing prootcol of Lyrica. I'm presently at 250mg a day.Till the Lyrica gets to the best pain management dosage, my doctor put me also on 6 acetaminophen (Tylenol) plus codeine a day. My question is "has anyone of you been able to completely get off the Tylenol and codeine after getting to the right dosage of Lyrica? "

I am taking the Lyrica for nerve damage due to advanced spinal stenosis. I am also on 100mg of NaproxenE a day.

It is normal for your body to get used to anything that you take for a long period of time, even if you only use it as prescribed and a sudden cessation may cause some withdrawal and rebound effects.

Generally, when trying to stop taking a narcotic, it is always better to taper slowly, to prevent as many of those problematic effects as possible.

What is your dosage of the Tylenol with Codeine?

I am presently on 250mg of Lyrica daily. I also must take at least 1200mg of acetaminophen and 32mg of codeine daily to control the pain. Tomorrow I up the Lyrica to 300mg a day. I would so like to get rid of the acet. and codeine! But that codeine gets rid of the pain immediately.

Is 1200mg of lyrica okay to take as it motivates me. I am using codeine and valium at present but prefer lyrica

I have been having peripheral nerve pain in my feet due to diabetes. It keeps me up at night to the point of crying. I have just recently been put on 75mg of Lyrica 3x a day. I have been told that I should feel some relief after taking it for about a week but I am not feeling any relief at all. It seems that it has actually gotten worse. Now I am suffering with toe and foot cramps from it too. Can anybody shed some light on what I can do to get some relief at night so I can sleep?

Hi I had the same problem as you and my doctor up the milligrams on my lyrica.. But I seem to find alot of relieve in putting a fan on just my feet at night..do not cover your feet.. I also soak my feet in cold water just before bed... I was taking 75 mil of lyrica twicw a day now I take 150 mil twice a day..

Hi what doseage did you get too. I currently take 300 or 450 mg preagablin and either 150mg tramadol or 60mg codiene split through the day starting after lunch when foot pain is unbearable. Its definitely helping me sleep and easing my restlessness at night with feet on fire but i am concerned about longevity of this routine ;-(

I take 150 mg of lyrica three times a day plus 2 500 mg of regular tylenol and I still feel my pain it's not as bad as it was but it's better. Like someone else said soak your feet before bed but add epson salt my mom does this every night due to her getting frost bite a few yrs ago and arthritis.
