Lyrica 150 Mg

I took a 150 mg lyrica for the first time. at first I thought it wasn't working until an hour later. I started getting a little jittery and then I had a burst of energy!!! I felt like I was on speed all day long. I cleaned my whole house did all my laundry etc... now it just seems like I can't calm down. is this normal?

Hi Sheila,

From what I could gather, the following are side effects of Lyrica (Pregabalin) that could be contributing to what you're describing:

anxiety
lack of coordination
loss of balance or unsteadiness
uncontrollable shaking or jerking of a part of the body
muscle twitching
increased appetite
''high'' or elevated mood

Based on that list of side effects you're burst of energy seems like it would be normal. If it's effecting you in a more negative way, then I'm thinking you may just need to lower the dosage.
