What is the difference between vicodin and lortab? ## They are just different trade names from different manufacturers for the same medication, they both contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, it is a narcotic analgesic. No pun intended. As far as accuracy goes, that really depends upon the quality of the test given. On the cheaper, less reliable drug tests, it seems anything is possible. False positives are known to occur on them anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. Hi all I'm hoping someone can answer this. My husband has had a life long battle with stomach issues causing him to be in the bathroom constantly. He's been prescribed lortabs in the past for injuries and such and because it causes constipation his battle is nil to none! But of course if you don't have to be, you don't want to stay on a prescription like that. If I knew what the cause of the constipation was in them perhaps he could just take that and be able to have a normal life since the doctors don't seem to be able to find the cause of his bathroom issues. ## Hello, Heather! I have been taking 1/2 of a lortab a day for about 3 mths. I have a hair test in 3 weeks to a month. will I be ok? What can I take to clean it up? ## Definitely. The hair test is a permanent record of your drug history. There is no way to cheat this besides shaving your hair, body and head.

Hydrocodone/bit/acet ## I have a strange reaction to Lortab. It will keep me up. I have a very hard time falling asleep when I have taken this drug. One doctor suggested to me it was because of my ADD. Is there another drug that I can ask for would work like Lortab that hopefully wouldn't keep me awake. My doctor dismissed me as a patient because a very small amount (252 ng/ml) of morphine was detected. I do not take other peoples meds, do not do street drugs. How this could happen is a complete and crazy mystery to me. I take Alprazolam, Tizanidine HAL, blood pressure and water pills. Over the counter allergy medicine and occasionally Benadryl. I am supposed to be taking 3, 7.5/500 lortabs every day. I normally do not take them but I have a drug test next month. If I take 2 the night before my test will it show up in the urine test as if I have been taking them as prescribed? Someone told me that they can tell if I have been taking them all month or just that one time but I am thinking that as long as I take 2 the night before my test they will show up just the same as if I been taking them every day. I have been on these for 12 to about 15 years now and for the past couple years now they don't seem to ease my pain any. I also take 800mg ibuprofen with something to protect ur stomach. I've only been on them 2/3 years. I'm sure my body laughs at me when i take the 10/325. Is there something close without taking acetaminophen? I'm 50 and i have taken acetaminophen forever. I'm afraid one day it will mess up my liver. I'm not a heavy drinker. Please help so i can talk with my doctor. I was prescribed 40 lortabs and was instructed to take one every four to six hours. How many days supply is that? ## Hello, Erica! How are you? Do the directions state to take them as needed, or are you supposed to take them regularly? If you were instructed to take them regularly, then every 4 hours would make this almost a 7 day supply and every 6 hours would make it a 10 day supply. However, if it's as needed, then they may be expected to last longer. Will I pass the test? ## Yes oral swabs have the shortest detection times. Most drugs won't show after 48-72 hours. Marijuana and most benzos are only detectable for about 12-24 hours after use. And even though the oral swabs are getting better, cheaper and more precise, drugs are simply not stored in oral fluids very long. Also make sure to brush very well with baking soda if possible, rinse with Listerine. Floss. And rinse again with hydrogen peroxide.
