I was just prescribed lorazepam to help deal with the anxiety of my husband of 18 years divorcing me. He can't seem to wrap his mind around supporting me towards wellness, and he has contributed to the severity of the depression...for about 14 years. My concern is that lorazepam will make me drowsy and create muddled thinking. I really need my wits about me to navigate my way through the divorce. So, reducing anxiety at the cost of clear thinking doesn't do me much good. My Doc is replacing Xanax because it just knocks me out. What are other people's experience with this drug? Anybody get relief from anxiety WITHOUT drowsiness? I'm going to try a mid dose today (Saturday) in the range my doc prescribed. Trial run :0) What about split doses? I've been told to take a h...

Hello. I have been taking Ativan for 7 years. I take 1mg a day. I cut it in half and take half in the morning and the other half in the evening. Yesterday I needed a refill and made an appointment with my doctor. Unfortunately he is on vacation. The nurse told me that to have a refill I needed a drug test. I said yes. The doctor's assistant came to the room and told me that unfortunately he could not give me a refill because they had found opiates in my urine. Heroin, cocaine and codeine. I thought it was a joke, well it was not. I am not feeling well, I am still in shock and no medication. I did some research and found out that you can't take away this type of medication from one day to the other and that it has to be done gradually. I am very confused, please help. This assist...

Yellow, round pill. One side has L R Other side has M< ## Lorazepam or alprazolam? ## Based on the description provided, The closest match I've been able to locate has the imprint "LR" rather than "LR M<". This pill is also round and yellow, but does not show a score line in the represented photo (however a different photo may prove that it has one). If this sounds like a possible match, the imprint LR is identified as Panwarfin (7.5 mg); manufactured by Abbott Laboratories. If this doesn't appear to be a match, I would consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. And as a last resort, you could ask them about getting the pills ingredients lab tested and brought back to...

i was under medication for almost 10 months, and i gained a lot of flab, and even few lipomas. ## Lopez (Lorazepam) has a number of side effects that could increase your chances of weight gain. Below is a list of common side effects associated with this medication: drowsiness dizziness tiredness weakness dry mouth diarrhea nausea changes in appetite restlessness or excitement constipation difficulty urinating frequent urination blurred vision changes in sex drive or ability Theoretically speaking, it's easy to see how one can gain pounds just from having a side effect like constipation for a number of weeks, or changes in appetite, along with tiredness or weakness. A combination of these would be dreadful in my opinion. More information about this medication can be viewed in the two...

lorazepam 2mg with a fancy v on one side and 4009 on the other. about twice as large as previously prescribed tablets. ## Hello, Dale! How are you? These tablets are manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals, formerly Vintage, which explains the V logo. The FDA classifies this medication as a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?

Since all the pharmaceutical companies buy & sell companies regularly and the pharmacies switch to the cheapest generics they can find monthly, has anyone found in the year 2015, a generic Ativan/Lorazepam that is of good quality? I only take it as needed and do not take daily. Just before Christmas I filled a script for generic Ativan and did not feel that it worked anymore than drinking a glass of water. The imprint is Watson, 241/1, white, round. My health insurance will pay for generic only. I am allowed to pay a higher copay in order to get the Brand medication if I wanted but Brand gets costly. However, since I do not take it daily, I'd be willing to pay the extra cost to know when I need it, it will work well. If anyone in 2015 has found a generic Lorazepam that works wel...

I found out Lorazepam 1mg made by Ranbaxy is not sold any more. Is it available in mexico? And will it come back? ## Hi Liza, From what I've researched, generic Lorazepam by Ranbaxy is not listed as being available in Mexico. However I did stumble upon a couple brand names that are: Lozam and Sinestron. Perhaps either of those would make for a suitable alternative? I have not tried Lorazepam myself so this is only speculation. Apparently the FDA has also had several restrictions placed on Ranbaxy's products (within the last year that are still in effect), preventing them from importing drugs from their overseas facilities into the US. Ranbaxy doesn't list contact information online either (if they do it's not easy to find), which could make getting ahold of them rather d...

does product help with anxiety ## @buckedon1, The answer to your question is yes - Lorazepam is in a class of drugs called benzodiazepines, which are commonly prescribed for treating anxiety, depression, and insomnia. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Lorazepam Details I for one don't think the benefits of drugs like Lorazepam outweigh the possible sides and withdrawal symptoms associated with long term or frequent use. But I think it's also important to remember that not everyone responds to these types of medications in the same way...whereas in some cases, certain individuals may find that Lorazepam works better or worse than various other treatment modalities. Hope this helps!

I have been taking lorazepam with the #063, and a couple of mos. ago they said they don't have them or can't get them anymore. they tried to give me another pill saying it is the same, 2mg but it is not the same. I have a lot of anxiety for the pain I have all over my body. Arthritis. I am 77 and can you help me by letting me know where I can get this certain pill? I can't sleep at night because these other Lorazepam don't work for me...thank you..I use safeway pharmacy. ## Hi margie, Sorry to hear about your situation. I think a good way to go about this would probably be to ask your doctor to specify a particular manufacturer's version of Lorazepam (such as Actavis), directly on the prescription so pharmacists will know which brand to have in stock or order for you...

Found the pill cleaning out my cabinet it says 661_zs it's white and round a d has a breaking mark on other side. Would lokw to know what it is? ## Hi linny, Your thoughts are spot on about the pill ID being Lorazepam. However from what I could gather, the imprint was probably misinterpreted, because it's actually listed as "SZ 199" instead of ZS 661. This particular pill contains 2mgs of Lorazepam, which is indicated for use in treating anxiety disorders. Also for added verification, it's reportedly manufactured by Sandoz and carries a National Drug Code of 0781-5379. I hope this helps!

I am trying to find out what kind of pill it is. It's white, oval/eliptical/capsule shaped pill with APO 5 on one side and simply scored on the other side. Tastes sweet, like most benzos. I was told it is Ativan, but I can not find it online, so maybe someone here knows what i'm talking about. ## Is the marking possibly APO 2? If so, then it does contain 2mgs of Lorazepam, which is a Benzodiazepine that's used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. Learn more: ## I have the exact same but it does read 5 and looks like a lorazepam 2 for size/shape/material its made of, but I've never seen one. Poss diazepam 5mgs?

Diagnosed triple negative inflammatory breast cancer 9-17-12. Been taking 2 antidepressants since the 80s. No one looked at my meds before putting in my port or starting 18 chemos. They gave me Lorazepam everytime. The mixture of Lorazepam with the antidepressants made my bowels and stomach hurt like it was crushed glass I had eaten. 8 days in hospital after 3rd chemo. No one caught the drug interaction so I was given more Lorazepam in the hospital and when the gastro did colonoscopy and endoscopy. Gastro gave me Lorazepam before scoping me. Again no drug check. Pain continued for 2 years. Bowel movements made me vomit from the pain. Oncologist had no clue about drug interactions. I saw 8 doctors in 3 hospitals and none could recognize a severe drug interaction. Why? They view Ativan as...

Hi what is a white round pill with 40 on one side and it's blank on the other side larger than an aspirin? ## Hello, Belinda! How are you? The tablet with the 4009 V on it is manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 2mgs of Lorazepam. The FDA classifies this medication as a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. As to the larger white tablet with the 40 on it, I believe that may be the one manufactured by Accord Healthcare, which contains 40mgs of Lisinopril. Its an ACE inhibitor that's used to help treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Its typical side effects...
