Now that is no longer available I have tried Watson & Qualitest manufacturers. I am having severe muscle tightening, headaches and loud ringing in my ears. Can someone please suggest something similar to the Ranbaxy? Even if it is another similar generic drug? Clearly there is something different in the other manufacturers generic lorazapam that is causing so many problems. ## Hello, Patti! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. The best thing to do may be to ask your doctor to write the prescription as 'brand medically necessary', if your insurance will cover it and try that, so you can avoid the generics. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side e...
After how many days does Losar (25mg) take to work? ## I am taking Zosert 50mg for anxiety. I also have to take 2mg Lorazepam as I could not sleep. I've been on a pacemaker for the last 9 yrs. If I do not take Lorazepam my bp increases. My cardiologist suggested Losar 25mg which I am now taking for the past 3 to 4 days. My question is, when it will work so that I'll be able to stop lorazepam slowly? ## It will take about 3 to 4 weeks for this medication to reach its full level of efficacy in the body. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.
Is lorazepam the same as xyanx ## Hello, Shorty! How are you? Lorazepam is the generic for Ativan, Alprazolam is the generic for Xanax. They are both benzodiazepines that are commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders, but they are different medications. The FDA warns that they carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?
I changed pharmacies cause the pill police Rexall pharmacist in small town KS took it upon himself to make me come in twice a month for a 30 day script and even lied about it said the dr. prescribed em that way. Well when I switched to the Qualitest it seems they are not nearly as good. Can't sleep, I wake up 3 hours after going to bed and ache all day. Anyone else experience BAD QUALITY WITH QUALITEST? ## Hello, Tom! How are you? You aren't the first person to have a problem with their products, but it does vary, they work great for some people. There can be variations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another, so it may be slightly lower than the one you were taking, which could explain why it doesn't work for you. You can learn more about this by ...

They are in the blister packs - says lor pam B P. These have no markings on them and have all the numbers etc on the blisters. I really want to know what they are for sure. ## Hello, Groundhog! How are you? If there are no markings, it's going to be difficult to determine what they are, especially since they are form a foreign source. However, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Is anyone else familiar with these tablets? ## 2mg loaxepsm, light blue with no markings in a blister pack. Such BS. Bringing it to a lab.
I was told that Sandoz was not available, must there must be some pharmacy that carries it... ## good luck, i think once you find it you will be very disappointed, the sandoz brand is "suppose to be" the old activus lorazapam but after being a user of the activus brand for over ten years i can tell you that sandoz has watered down the product until it is worthless, if you read the other comments made here you will see that not one person including myself can state that this product works, actually it gave me insomnia, imagine that, what is suppose to help you sleep actually keeps you awake, check out the other comment sections on lorazapam on this site, it may help you find something that works. ## I have taken Sandoz Lorazepam for awhile and have never had a problem, since I am...
I've been taking the form of lorazepam identified by a "v" on one side and "4008" on the other for years. Recently I switched pharmacies and they gave me a NOTICEABLY different version, manufactured by "Watson labs" ("Watson" on one side and "1/241" on the other). I might as well be taking placebos even though it's the same dosage. My doctor told me that manufacturers can vary in the make-up of the pill by almost 2% and still legally call it the same dosage/drug, so what I'm feeling (nothing) may really be due to the difference in manufacturer. I want to go to my new pharmacy & ask if they can fill my prescription with the pills from this other manufacturer, but I don't know who manufactures it. I suppose I can just bring one o...

This tablet is manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 0.5mgs of Lorazepam, which is a benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. My 11 year old son is taking lobazan 5 one tab/day as he is suffering from epilepsy and doctors has advised to take the same. Please tell me the side effect if any? ## Based on the description provided, I think you may have meant to say Lorazepam. Lorazepam has relatively potent anxiolytic effects and its best known indication is the short-term management of severe chronic anxiety. For side effect information about this drug, please refer to the link below... NOTE: you may have to scroll down to the section called "adverse effects". If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you. ## Hi Docotor, My son age 14 years old now, he his taking Valprol CR (300 mg) and lobazam 5mg for last 4.5 years. I have an old script of expired Lorazepam from 4 years ago. Is it still safe to take? ## It doesn't become dangerous, once expired, but it may start to lose effectiveness. If it is in a bottle as dispensed from you pharmacy, it would have expired a year from the date it was dispensed. If it's that old, my suggestion would be best to dispose of it and obtain a new supply, if you still need this medication. However, on the contrary, according to Harvard University’s Medical Center, “Most of what is known about drug expiration dates comes from a study conducted by the Food and Drug Administration at the request of the military. With a large and expensive stockpile of drugs, the military faced tossing out and replacing its drugs every few years. What they found from thei...
Hi all, I've started retaking lorazepam temporarily until my xanax prescription comes in. I originally went off lorazepam a year ago because it affected my stomach. I am not sure how to describe it. It doesn't hurt, not diarrhea or constipation, but it immediately starts feeling uncomfortable once the lorazepam kicks in. I told my psych but he acted like that was an unusual side effect, and made it seem like I must be misunderstanding an actual side effect. I wish I could describe it better but my stomach without fail will feel uncomfortable after taking lorazepam and eating food on top of it makes me feel worse. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Hopefully I will go back to xanax soon, but this has always stumped me. Thanks for your help! ## Hello, Katharine! How are yo...

There are also 4 oval white flat pills scored on one side w the markings N | 2. She says they are lorazepam - that the round pills are 4mg each & oval pills are 2mg each. Is she telling me the truth ?

I was being prescribed clonazepam for the past year and it has never came up positive for benzoz in my lab tests.. UpdatedHas anbody taken LORI-2 GENERIC for ativan made in India? ## Hi Lulu, It appears that someone on the site has already posted a reply to this thread- I'll link the thread below. I haven't personally used this medication so I can't really provide an honest opinion on it. I do know that when you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. That may be something to keep in mind. Also, I'm not sure if you're aware, but generics are permitted by the FDA to be allowed to contain as much as 20% more or less of the actual active ingredient. Discuss/Lori-2-Lorazepam-246932.htm I hope this info helps! ## There is a frequent misinterpretation of the bioequivalence of generic drugs. The assertion ...
I have a bottle of Purepac Lorazepams as prescribed, but half of the pills have the usual "Purepac R" followed by 59 and the others have a strange moon-like symbol followed by the number 59. Has anyone ever seen these before? ## I do believe this is a new one with a change to the logo, because while it isn't listed in the prescription drug databases yet, there have been several other posts about it recently. Learn more Lorazepam details here. If you're in doubt as to what it is, then I'd suggest asking your pharmacist to double check for you. Has anyone else received these tablets? ## Not that I know of, but like I said, I couldn't even find em on the net yet. ## yes i got a refill on my lorazepam and this time they have the crescent and 59 on one side. Why doesn...
I found a white round pill that has a half moon on it and the number 083 is what looks like but honestly having trouble making out last number. On the opposite side it is scored. Can someone help me identify this? Thank you. ## Hello, Rose! How are you? I believe the numbers are actually 063. This tablet is manufactured by Actavis Elizabeth and they list it as containing 2mgs of Lorazepam. The FDA classifies this medication as a benzodiazepine, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. my friend took 60mg of lorazapam and has been asleep all day ## Medications can affect everyone differently, so one can only assume that your friend's heavy sleeping is attributed to a side effect of this drug. 60mg however seems like an overkill dose. The usual dose for treating anxiety is 2-3 mg/day given in two or three divided doses. Insomnia is treated with 2-4 mg given at bedtime. But 60mg doesn't seem appropriate for any condition. Did you mean to type 6mg? A few side effects of Lorazepam that could trigger prolonged sleep are: drowsiness, dizziness, tiredness, weakness Lorazepam is used to relieve anxiety. It works by slowing activity in the brain to allow for relaxation. Based on the indications for this drug, I would think that your friend simply could've had too m...
