Lorazepam - Need To Find A Brand Like Watson (not Actavis)
UpdatedHelp!!!! I've loved the Watson brand of Lorazepam. I just take a small amount and it eases my anxiety. HOWEVER, Actavis bought Watson and (trust me) the product is no longer effective. OMG. So frustrating. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a Lorazepam comparable to Watson's?
I am curious as well, it seems like generic medications no longer hold standards. I have had a hard time finding a good generic Adderall IR. I’ve called every local pharmacy and even requested to order “what most people’s advice will be” and I can’t find one to do that for me. But if I could help any whatsoever I’d google independent pharmacy’s locally and call and simply tell them your new generic isn’t working and would like to know what they have in stock. Sometimes you get lucky, but even if you find that brand you like they won’t always have it as pharmacy’s buy the cheapest most the time nowadays. So I’ll be applying for non-generic Adderall and see if my insurance will cover it. I’ll stay in touch. I’m curious as well! Good luck.
You may want to know that the watson brand has been sold to teva; the pharma companies are playing musical chairs with lorazepam. The only one I know to stay away from is sandoz, as they have shown that profits take priority over the wellness of people. I would love to find out why mylan quit the lorazepam business.
Following. I knew something was going on and my dr acted like I was crazy.
Is Watson brand made by Actavis on backorder? My pharmacy said it was discontinued.
Re: Liz (# 5)
It's not on backorder. I found out today that Watson by Activus is no longer available! I've called every pharmacy they all have the manufacturer Leading. That gives me Vertigo. I'm freaking out right now because I need my script refilled.
Re: Nichole (# 4)
Kitty cat. It is always about the green MONEY.
Re: Beth (# 6)
Kitty Kat. Leading is awful. Stay away from it.
Re: Kitty Kat (# 8)
Yeah, Leading is awful, almost as bad as Sandoz. My pharmacist can no longer get Watson as well and only has Teva. I haven’t really tried it yet as I am quite intimidated, due to my experiences with Sandoz and Leading.
Watson brand is the best I have had. Can't find it anywhere or a good substitute. If anyone finds one please let me know. Thank you. Desperate. WATSON we need you back!
Re: Katgy (# 10)
I am having the same exact problem. I can only stake Watson or actavis. Now it’s TEVA and not working
Re: Beth (# 6)
Beth, also prob changing from Watson to leading. Vertigo also and does not mix well with sumatripton for migraines. Also have slight headache much of time. We need same ingredients that Watson had. Currently looking. Let's find it! Am nurse.
Re: joe (# 3)
I have a wonderful announcement to make!!!
I have searched high and low since TEVA bought out Watson. I found out that RECENTLY TEVA has changed their formula to the Watson one. I found the Watson formula, and matched it to current TEVA, had MY pharmacist check it out with me, and voila, we have Watson!
I have tested it out, and after time, it is wonderful.
Good luck and talk to your pharmacist.
Re: Sharon (# 13)
Hi Sharon, I have not been able to get Watson Brand & have tried both Leader & Teva with not good results - nightmares, for one! Are you sure that Teva has changed Lorazepam tablet back to same ingredients as the Watson brand?
Re: Sharon (# 13)
What is the expiration date on you current Teva that is the same as Watson?
Re: Sharon (# 13)
You said, “after time it is wonderful”; does that mean you had problems for a period of time and thereafter adjusted to Teva?
I agree Taking 1 mg three times a day I should be out like a light but they are not working and I got them from my pharmacy and I don’t know why they are not working Ativan not working back from Wallgreens family pharmacy
Re: Katgy (# 10)
Did you find a good alternative?
Re: Beth (# 6)
I totally understand. I'm in the same position. The generics do the opposite of what the Watson brand did for me. I'm miserable.
