Looking For Lorazepam That Is Exactly Like Watson Brand
(Newest replies first)
Updated
I've been taking Watson Pharmaceuticals Lorazepam and it worked great. Apparently, Actavis just took over Watson, and Watson no longer exists. I'm looking for another bran of Lorazepam that has the same Active & Inactive ingredients as the Watson brand, however, I can't locate the info on line and my pharmacy won't help me. Does anyone know what other manufacturer carries Lorazepam that is exactly the same as the Watson brand. Actavis and Sandoz manufacturer's Lorazepam does not work.

Update: began taking Teva - was wonder...i read it was made in Israel. It felt like the old Watson. But by next prescription something had changed.... i don't think it was me... i began to feel anxious only a few hours after taking it. I discovered it was now made in the Czech Republic.....Its definitely not the Teva I started out with...now every chain pharmacy, costco and independents sell it as their only lorazepam......it must be very cheap...but for me quite unsatisfactory.
Re: Dee (# 63)
Which do you consider worse: lorazepam by Teva or by Leading?
I've been through Watson until they were made in India...were bought by Actavis - never the same despite molds not changing until last year....Leading, and now Teva.... Has anyone found something better?
Re: Sarah (# 67)
Actually I had the same symptoms or side effects that you did from Teva lorazepam. And Teva clonazepam. I had to take a small half of my Benadryl just to come my nerves and fall asleep. So your doctor is incorrect
Re: Neesee (# 64)
I originally was taking Actavis clonazepam. Ventiva bought them over and discontinued it. So I had to take Teva clonazepam. And it made me so agitated my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest! I had changed over to lorazepam made by watson. It, my nerves I didn't have to take a lot I was able to fall asleep. I can't seem to find anyone that sells watson. I've been taking Lorazepam by Teva and it does the same thing the clinic has a Pam did from Teva it just makes me so tense and it feels like my heart is just being twisted
Re: Neesee (# 64)
It’s garbage! It doesn’t work the same at all!!
Re: Dee (# 63)
Doesn’t work! It’s total crap!! You can tell because it dissolved INSTANTLY unlike Watson being a stronger pill made with better ingredients. My anxiety doesn’t subside taking teva than it did taking Watson. I’ve also noticed Anytime something is popular and works well.. they quit making it. There HAS to be a resin for it that only benefits Big Pharma.
Re: deebee (# 13)
$1,500 a month. They want us to take the ‘filler filled” generic crap!
Re: Christine (# 9)
Not anymore. All I’m
finding is Teva and it sucks as well.
Re: Cyntjia (# 62)
Was your breathing problem from taking the Teva? I have been on Watson brand for 15 plus years. Switched to Teva and now having pressure in my chest and can’t take a good deep breath. Talked to doctor he said to get off my Benadryl. I don’t think that’s the problem. Anyone else having this problem with Teva?
Re: Denise (# 7)
No it is not around anymore. The only one
that worked for me. Stay away from Teva lorazepam it knocks you out and palpitations.
Re: Anxious (# 23)
India! The pharmacist never heard of it. Actavis Watson for a long time. No problems. I am making calls to find it.

Re: Dee (# 63)
How’s it working out for you with the Teva Lorazepam. I just finished the last of my 1 mg Watson’s and I am not looking forward to the switch. I tried the Teva USA 0.5 mg and they were awful. They did not do anything for me.
Re: Cyntjia (# 62)
Am having exact same problem. Was on watson for » 6 yrs. They no longer exist. I called fda. Was told teva owns Watson now. Even tried to call watson labs. No answer. Am taking teva & not the same at all. Called cvs, wallgreens, walmart, weis....none carry watson. Only have teva, leading, abinio (sp). Was told by one rx to try hospital pharmacy, but seems like a lost cause. Will try teva for now, as I need this med & am not ready to wean off, but teva is nasty, nothing like watson.
Hello,
I have trouble with inert ingredients in different brands. Can only take Watson or Activis.
Leading and Teva first make me tense, aggravated. Few days trouble breathing been hospitalized! Any one know pharmacy I can get my medication from
Re: Laura K (# 44)
Where in Scottsdale Arizona can I fill the Watson brand of Ativan?
Re: Jewels (# 2)
Yes the inactive ingredients do matter - they matter how the medicine will affect you or even work for your pain or not and also most of the inactive ingredients binders and fillers, make people sick to their stomach or cause headaches. So don't believe what the other person said that they don't make any difference and don't affect the drug WRONG. I personally know that from having gone from taking a certain brand of vicodin and now it is no longer available and every other one I have tried makes me either sick or doesn't work plain and simple. Also, because of this insane "opiod crisis" that they claim is happening, these drugs don't have any narcotic in it - it's not in our heads they are trying to make it so people with chronic pain don't get that euphoria anymore but in the process they have made the drugs pure crap.
Re: Rman1327 (# 58)
Wired or “weird”? Either way....an almost “w” with a check mark..off white..almost tan...I never saw and cannot find anything like that. Tell us if you find out what it is...just curious...
I found this almost off-white tan pill with 242/2 on one side and a wired almost a "w" with a check mark on top. I was told it was 2 mg Ativan but can’t find anything about what it is online. Can anyone help me?
I've been taking 3 milligrams of Lorazepam for the last 10 months every day. Every pharmacy does the same thing - they buy from which ever company is the cheapest as we all know. FDA regulations and guidelines say all generics are the same and they (the FDA) says it is ... bla bla. That's a bunch of bs. It's all about the pharmaceutical companies living large on our dime, that's what it is.
I've had every generic Lorazepam they make. Watson to me is about the only one that actually does what its supposed to do. The rest of em, you would be just as well off getting a pack of tic tacs and save your money. I've made the pharmacy swap mine out before because they will switch your pills around like you some kinda Ginny pig... f*** that. I'm like everyone else. Once something works for you means it's not broke, means you don't fix it by switching brands. Enough said, point made, 2 thumbs up to all the fellow Lorazepam patients. I feel ya pain...
