lisinopril dosage

I have been tweaking my dosage of Lisinipril with my PCP. Can you please tell me what dosage is for the following pills: * Yellow round w/ M on one side and L 25 on the other. * Blue round w/ M on one side and L 27 on the other. * Green round w/ M on one side and L 26 on the other. ## M L25 contains 20mgs. M L26 contains 40mgs. M L27 contains 30mgs. Lisinopril is used to help control high blood pressure. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. altruntive/lisinopril

natural subsitutes/to replace/lisinopril ## There are many alternatives to controlling and/or lowering blood pressure. In my opinion the safest and most logical method would be to control what foods you put into your body. Many acidic foods that are high in sodium such as chips, lunch meats and canned foods can easily cause an unbalance in ones blood pressure if consumed on a regular basis. I am no MD, but my advice would be to eat more alkaline foods. Alkaline foods balance out your entire body's PH level, which effects blood pressure as well. Try to search through google for an alkaline food chart.

Splitting pills to attain proper dosage

My 73 yr old husband was just put on Lisinopril 5 mg daily in addition to the half-tablet of 25 mg HCTZ he's been taking. The pharmacy gave him 10 mg Lisinopril which he is to cut in half but it is not designed to cut. When I try to cut it with the best pill cutter I could find, many of them us crush or cut unevenly. What can I do? I end up with a handful of crumbs that are not usable. ## Your best bet in this case, would be to crush the tablets, divide the crushed powder in half as nearly as you can and then just mix it in something such as juice or pudding. It is well known that when breaking or cutting a tablet you may not always get the full half a dose that you are supposed to, being a little off is not going to affect anything. ## I had the same issue.
