I ran out of lisinopril, 20 mg, i have really bad headach can i take 10mg enalapril, dr and pharmacy closed now. ## Hello, Diane! How are you? How long have you been out? What do you take it to treat? These are most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and if you have just run out and only missed one dose, it shouldn't be high enough to cause a headache, but if it is, you need to seek emergency medical attention.

The possible side effects list this. For those who are user's of Lisinopril let me explain the term as I learned about it last Thursday: Steroid and epinephrine shots didn't knock it down, three attempts at intubation failed before they knocked me out and in those last few seconds I felt metal in my mouth, something going down my throat, a couple really good breaths and the sound of applause. I remember very little of the following day and was released a day later. There is something very unknown and unpredictable about this medicine where you can be on it for years without a problem and have a reaction to it like this! The ER doctor saw Lisinopril on my current perscriptions and said that's what caused it. An ex-ER nurse friend said that's what caused it. My doctor has ...

My doctor gave me a month to get my blood pressure down - it was 150/95. I tried my best - eliminated salt, exercised like crazy - it was still high when I went back to him so he gave me this med. I felt nothing for the first week or so on it now I'm getting insane nausea. I can't eat. I lost 4 lbs last week. Food just makes me more sick. Coincidentally, each time I checked my own bp at the pharmacy or had the trainer do it at my gym it was 115/90 - not that bad. But he insisted that I needed something. I continue to exercise and eliminate salt in order to soon get off this med. I have a hard time believing that such a low dose would make me so sick. Could this be possible? ## Hello, Sunny! How are you doing? Sorry about the problems that you're having. Yes, a low dose could...

I'm on the second day of being off of Lisinopril after being on it for two weeks with really bad side effects. Chills. Itching, stomach pains, headache. My question is how long has the side effects lasted for everyone? Thanks, RB ## HI, Roddy! Sorry about the side effects you suffered. If you were only on it for 2 weeks, it shouldn't take too long for them to wear off, maybe a week or so, but it can vary from person to person and you should double check with your doctor. Have you already consulted your doctor to switch to a different medication? It isn't safe to just abruptly stop a medication like this, if you were taking it for high blood pressure or a cardiac condition. ## Hello Thanks for your reply! I'm on day 5 of being off of it. Or any interval is required to take the medicines ## @ kckarukachal, I'm surprised that your doctor has you on this many medications. Since they're all used for similar purposes I knew there were bound to be some complications, but I didn't suspect quite as many as I had found. Based on my research, there are several potentially dangerous drug interactions between most of the medications you mentioned. The frustrating part is, doctors are completely aware of these interactions and still hand out more prescriptions without letting people know of the risks involved.... *Using Clozapine and A...

is lisinopril safe for dog use an what is doseage per dogs weight? ## Hi sara, Lisinopril is not FDA approved for use in veterinary medicine, however it is still being used for veterinary purposes. From what I've read, it has become an accepted practice for veterinarians to prescribe this medication to cats and dogs. It is prescribed for the treatment of heart failure, high blood pressure, certain types of heart valve disease and some forms of kidney disease. Lisinopril does require a prescription from your veterinarian, and is sold per tablet. I would speak with your veterinarian in regards to the dosage, since only he/she will know the correct amount for your dog based on his/her weight and medical history. I hope this helps!
