Lisinopril 10 Mg Pill Change Problems (Top voted first)
UpdatedI was taking the TEVA Triangle shaped 10 Mg. The Drug store switched to a round white one with only a 10 imprinted on it. I am having issues. Who makes this one, and what are the active ingredients as opposed to Teva's ingredients.

I am pretty sure that the manufacturer of the pill you are describing is Accord healthcare since they make one just like that. Can you confirm if the name is listed or abbreviated on the prescription bottle? The active ingredient should be Lisinopril just like TEVA's version, although the inactive ingredients / fillers / etc may be different.
Here's what I'm finding about this pill so far:
NDC: 16729-196-01 (can you confirm on your prescription bottle or handout?)
Active Ingredient: Lisinopril 10 mg
Inactive Ingredients:
- Corn Starch
- Silicon Dioxide
- Dibasic Calcium Phosphate Dihydrate
- Magnesium Stearate
- Mannitol
I wonder if you are sensitive to any of these?
* Sourced from the National Library of Medicine
Yes I did confirm on the bottle and that is what it is. I am unable to find an ingredient list for the triangle shaped one I was taking to compare. I will look at the Mannitol and see if there are side effects
For the original TEVA pills, I think they were bought out by IVAX so I did some research and I think I found more information about the old tablets you were taking. Can you confirm that the NDC code starts with 0172-3759? And are the markings I on one side and 3759 on the other? If so then here are the inactive ingredients for the 10mg Lisinopril from IVAX:
- Dibasic Calcium Phosphate Dihydrate
- Magnesium Stearate
- Mannitol
- Corn Starch
- Talc
So as you can see there are a few minor differences in the inactive ingredients between the two, maybe you are sensitive to Silicon Dioxide in the new ones, or maybe the new ones just have a slight variation of the Lisinopril dosage? Hope this helps! Please let me know if we're talking about the same tablet here...
That is the old pill
Having same problem. Prescribed lisinopril by accord. Trouble breathing.
I have asthma and since I started the brand Accord two days ago I have had breathing problems as well.
Yes, I was on Teva and they switched me to the round Lisinopril 10 mg. Well, I ended in the hospital for 2 days , felt like i was having a heart attack. BEWARE
