Linzess Side Effects

Hi, I've been taking Linzess about 1-2 times a week for about a year. Usually get several loose BMs when I take it, but sometimes I feel great and other times severe bloating, gas and heartburn. Also have gained 5 lbs in 6 months, could that be from the med? Is it really necessary to wait 30 mins after taking it to eat or drink coffee? Thanks!!

Yes, those can be normal side effects of it, as listed by the FDA. Other users have reported experiencing them, as well. You may also experience abdominal cramping.

And yes, it is also necessary to wait that 30 minutes to allow it to have its full beneficial effect.
