Linzess Not Working Completely

I've been taking Linzess about every other day for 2 months. Does anyone else experience some runny spurts than nothing like you're still constipated, like you're not completely relieved? I'm always so cramped up because I never seem to be complete. I try not to even eat because it seems it would just pack up more. :-(

I had that happen after a hemmrroidectomy and the reason why the watery stool was squirting out was because of an impaction. Mine was at the rectal opening but some can have it further up. It can cause serious problems and a lot of people end up in the hospital from the impactions. I did oil enemas to break up the impaction. Once it is soft enough to remove you can use a glove and try and sweep the stuck stool out. Once the impaction was gone I was able to completely evacuate all stool from my body. My constipation is caused by damage to the nerves in the intestines, bowels and rectum from 9 surgeries. This only works if I use stool softeners everyday, more than most use, and am very careful about what I eat as my transit time runs about 10 days. I don't process my food. I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your reply! So sorry to hear about all of the problems that you've been having. I think maybe I should go in to see a specialist about my problem. I pray that things get better for you soon.
How do they determine if you're impacted? I've been constipated on a regular basis but never this bad. Usually good ole prune juice would do the trick but not anymore. My regular practictioner put me on Linzess because I have hypothyroidism and she says that's what's causing my constipation. However, I have to wonder otherwise because even when my numbers are right, I'm still constipated. Thanks again for your reply!
