Is there anything that anybody can tell me about Lexamil?

Well, I was prescribed Lexamil for depression. I am on it for almost 6 months. It worked well after about 2 weeks of use. Felt like a new person. The side effects on that stage was that I could not reach an orgasm and also clenched jaws. The clenched jaws later wore off and by now I can reach orgasm much easier. This must tell you that the drug is wearing off. I am again very tired and if I could sleep the whole day, I would. So I will go back to the doctor and either have the dose made bigger or try something else. Good luck.

Ima chronic depression patient and have been suffering from depression since i was 14 years old. I was on Prozac most of my life untill the Prozac just STOPped working. I tried sand tested lots of antidepressants, gosh, too many to actually remember them all, and ya i am NOT happy with Lexamil, NOT AT ALL!! I have gained sooooooooo much weight and i couldnt understand WHY, and i had to leave my job as a Beauty Consultant because of my outragous perspiration from the face, head and neck. Nah these pills have ruined my life and the worst part was that i "could'n care less..."

Been drinking lexamil 20mg for two and a halve years now. Look it makes me feel great. I am a superwoman and all that I wanted to be, but there's no sex drive, gained 21kg, and then there is this problem I exsperiencing an half an hour after I have taken it I am nauseas and my stomach is just not feeling well.

You cant say that. I suffer from severe depression. The medication I take for my asthma makes me gain weight and causes depression. I get really depressed when I see how much weight I have gained. Just because someone gets upset at gaining weight does not mean that they do not need their medication. Maybe you need to have your adjusted you seem to be passive aggressive.

Weight loss is suppose to be associated with anti-depressants, is there anyone losing weight on lexamil?

I was on Cymbalta five years ago then just stopped taking it as i thought i was fine. Up until now, i've been on an emotional rollercoaster, moody, agressive, have a 13yr old daughter which i've been treating very badly at times (more often than not) and she is the main reason why i sought help (as her mother). I haven't taken the first pill yet, wanted to get some point of views...i need to get out of this rut & start being a better mother...i also can't afford to gain wait...so...?

I have been on lexamil for about 3 years for panic attacks.no sex drive,gained about 10kilos,even though i never eat a lot and excersise.Dr changed my med to aspen trazodone.I am not feeling tooo well lately,is this maybe due to the fact that i stopped lexamil.I am taking a half lexamil for 10 days.will that be sufficient weening?

I have been on Lexamil for 1 year now. My quality of life has improved dramatically. My only side affect is weight loss. I have not lost my appetite. Should I take a supplement as I am small framed .

I took lexemal for 4 month it made me feel worse than ever I had night mare at night, I ad fear that I never ad before, I could not stand up and go to work in the moning because i could not stop crying. I want to comit suicide Lexemal made my life even more hell all antidipresent I took over the year made me feel worse. I do better without any medication.

My doctor don't believe that it's the lexamil that causes my stomach problem, but I am hundred percent sure it is, as I stopped using it again and the problem just stopped, but when I drank one lexamil my stomach was burning again, nausea, weird uncomfortable bloated feeling was back. Please tell me is anyone experiencing this problem.

Each one of our bodies is diffrent you body will tell you what work for you or not. You doctor do not life in you body so he can not say that the leximal can not give you stumic problems. I had lots of problems with lexamil. It made me almost crazy. You doctor have do give you something that work for you. I am not using anything at this stage, because all the stuff the docters gave me let me feel worce. I can better handel it without the medication. But do not leave leximal at once raed on the pamplit it will tell you over how a long peroid you should stop it.

I have been on Lexamil 10 and Wellbutrin xl 150 for 4 month now. I would like to wean off the medication but not sure how to do it and what might be the effect. My Doctor dont agree with me but not her choice.

I have been on Lexamil 10mg a day for the past 18 months. To me it seems that I have made a huge improvement. I can cope with all symptoms I experience, like the low libido, weight gain and the muscle contractions while I sleep - but my partner cant. My doc said he doesnt suggest I go off my medication, but that I need to halve my dosage for a month before stopping. I am worried that my mood swings and anxiety will come back... Will it be a huge set back if I stop?

I don't experience stomac discomfort. In the beginning I had clenched jaws and I could not reach orgasm. It's better now. Good Luck.

Yes, there will be side effects. You need to ween yourself from the pills. Reduce your intake by half for a few days before you stop. You need to consult your doctor on this.

i have been on it for 3months now and it helped, but i'm starting to really think it's not good for me. I had very bad deprssion friday, because i forgot to took my pill. So am i going to have to be on lexamil for the rest of my life? Will i ever be normal again if i stopped using it? I'm really scared of that, because i don't want to use it for the rest of my life...
