Since i have been taking lexamil 10mg I've felt achy and tired. I also have pimples. I do not know if it might be an allergic reaction?

No two people need exactly the same dosage or medication, but I am finding Lexamil very effective after years of battling to find the right meds. The most noticeable side-effect for me is aggravated cranio-facial hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating of the head, face and neck). This has always been a major problem for me, but is much worse with Lexamil. However, I have had to make the decision that this problem is the lesser of the two evils of living with crippling depression. I'm so far finding relief with 0.5% Glycopyrrolate topical medication.

You're all making me scared. Im experiencing severe panic attacks when I drive, especially when I take a left bend, feels like my car is going to flip over. Dr. Prescribed lexamil for me yesterday, told me to take in the morning but i took it at about 20h30 now unable to sleep. I'm very scared of side effects, especially weight gain. I'm not one to use medication and scared of becoming dependent

Hi Meg. Hang in there. Ask your doctor to supplement something else with Lexamil. Maybe Welbutrin? The one address the serotonin and the other dopamin. Good luck.

At last i am weaned from Leximal. Now only on Wellbutrin and it's going well. You get your days but in general no complaints. This battle cannot be won without the help of the Living God.

The side effects was just too bad during the day and I travel a lot so I cant be dizzy or shivering..so drinking it at night works perfect for me...weird but Lexamil seems to control my appetite rather than give me one...but as I said, I eat banting.

Its been nearly a year I am on Lexamil 10mg and I am feeling myself again -no more lows and if it comes its managable through Gods Grace!Have put on weight,but its a good thing as I was to skinny-due to no appatite.I drink mine in the mornings.

I have been on Lexamil for 5 months and the result so far is good. no more side effect, but I changed my pill from morning to night...Weight is fine, I only eat banting way....dry mouth still..bitter taste still...I actually love the way I feel on it...

Most people gain weight. You will also gain weight in areas you do not normally store fat on your body and getting rid of it will be a pain. If you had problems with your appetite before, prepare for carb cravings. Lexamil also tends to mess with your sleeping patterns if you do not practice fairly strict sleep hygiene. Set a reasonable sleeping pattern for yourself and try to make it habitual by taking sleeping pills for a week or so. Do not fall into the pattern of taking naps during the day. If you have problems with waking up or going to sleep, get someone to phone you or appoint a family member to nag you into following your sleep pattern. Do not quit Lexamil cold turkey - many people experience withdrawal symptoms and rebounds of their depression or anxiety if they quit. You have ho quit under medical supervision.
