UpdatedI have a strecthing feeling in both my heels which gives me somewhat of a gait when I walk. It makes me walk slower. I never felt this before. There was nothing wrong with my walking. Please!

Have you consulted a doctor?
Only a medical professional is going to be able to help you discover what is causing the problem and to discover a solution.
I am not certain what you are referring to as a stretching feeling.
Levofloxacin is not likely to help, since it is just an antibiotic that is used to treat infections.

Levofloxacin attacks tendons. I took it and my right leg hurt from the back of my knees down into my feet. My left leg has broken out in a terrible rash. I had a biopsy and the results are luekocystic clastic vasculitis. Not a good medication. My prescription was made in India.
One of the most serious Side Effects of Levaquin, and the one that is recognized by the FDA as serious enough to warrant a Black Box Warning on the packaging is tendon rupture, and in particular Achilles tendon rupture. The Achilles tendon is located right here your ankle is, just above your heel. If you are feeling any discomfort in your heels, it would be prudent to go back to your doctor IMMEDIATELY and get off of this medication and get a substitute antibiotic in order to prevent any further possible damage to your Achilles tendons.

I'vI've had recurrent UTI infections on and off for the past 30 years. Levofloxacin saved me from the torture once I got a prescription over 15 y.o ago. If the infection is not severe I take 250 mg for 3 days and that does the trick. It works amazingly fast snd usually after the first dose I feel an instant relief from suffering of urinary infections. Very rarely I had to go through a week routine of 500 mg. Never had any problems. No tendon ruptures or other side effects and I'm a still active former ballet dancer who takes strenous classes 4-5 times a week.
I had taken levofloxacin for 9 days was given (14) I have severe pain in shoulders ankles, knees, hips, and lower back, right jaw also and up to the top of my head,
I haven't and won't finish them.. I stopped them 5 days ago, will it go from my system?
I have prayed for help................
I have had racing heart & chest pain, Today
I in the past I hurt ALL over musles, joints tendons and when I get up in the morning I
am up about 2 hours and then I HAVE TO GO BACK TO BED if Don't I would past out !!
I am walking slower also, and still JOINT pain
Tendonitis and tendon rupture are common problems with this antibiotic. It's IMPERATIVE that you call you doctor at the FIRST SIGN of tendon pain or achiness and talk to them about having another antibiotic given to you instead. Many doctors do not know about this drug reaction, so you will need to be ready to inform them and to insist on another antibiotic, if there is another class of antibiotics that can work for this problem. There almost always is one that will work just as good if not better than the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics.

It sounds like you may have plantar fasciitis. I'm not a doctor but I have plantar fasciitis.
took this for pnuemonia......didn't sleep at all that night....had such good hearing think i couldve heard a fly fart!.....sent into a restless leg/arms/mind mania that i don't care to ever experience again.....felt weird vibration in the hip and then the joint pain began.....random flashes of pain that contributed to not being able to sleep and of course that encouraged me to constantly move.....had to go to bathroom what seemed like every 20 minutes!!...my poor husband was trying to sleep upstairs and the squeaky floors made impossible for me to be quiet.....probably felt like he was stuck in a game of "whack-a-mole" all night...that was after 1 pill..........doc gave me new medicine and believe me i'm glad.........
I have been suffering from BPH & a UTI as well. For BPH I have been taking Silodal D8 once daily for the past year & for a reoccurring UTI, what is the recommended dose of Levofloxacin? I am a 69 year old male.
