I am on a lot of medication azathioprine, omeprozole, levothyroxine, quinine, atrovastatin, losartan, pregabalin and have just been started on Lercanidipineand feel really run down, never had styles in my eyes and now have 2 my psoriasis is flared up badly and bruising easily can it be the medication please help ## Hello, Jak! How are you? It could cause the easy bruising, since the FDA does classify it as a calcium channel blocker, so that means it has an effect on circulation. Its other side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, dry cough and hypotension. However, I've not found anything about it causing the other issues. Have you consulted your doctor?

Dry mouth in the morning along with pins and needles in the fingers, can this the cause ## Hello, Jimmy! How are you? Yes, dry mouth can be a side effect of most medications and the pins and needles may be due to how it affects your circulation to help lower blood pressure. Its other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Are you on any other medications?

I have been taking lercanidipine sandoz 10mg for a week now but my blood pressure has gone up not down. This morning 191/116 never ever been this before was 150/100 before. Is this normal? ## Hello, Susan! How are you? No, that is not normal, you should start to see a gradual improvement, with its full efficacy level reached around 4 to 5 weeks. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, stomach pain and hypotension. However, not all medications work for everyone that takes them, so you may need to try a different blood pressure medication. What time of day are you checking it? Are you also watching your diet to avoid excessive sodium and fat?

I would like to know if anyone has any info they can put forward on as to whether or not Zanidip may have an adverse effect on the obtaining and maintaining of erections in a male? ## Yes since taking Zanidip 10 mg a couple months ago,I do not seem to be able to maintain my erections for more than a few minutes ! Previously even with the other BP tablet I have taken for a few years I had no problems for hours. Unfortunately it was nod really doing anything to lower the BP so that is why Doctor asked me to go on the Zanidip. Within a few weeks the BP had fallen from around 155/95 to around 120/80. Perfect BP but... No other side effects whatsoever. I do exercise a lot, eat well and drink 1.5 liters of water per day minimum. My BP problem I am told is probably genetic because I have had a...

is lercan slow acting ## To answer your question, Lercan (Lercanidipine hydrochloride) has a short plasma half-life of approximately 3 hours; but despite this, it is indicated to be intrinsically long-lasting. I can't really paraphrase this as "slow-acting", since that may be considered different than "long-acting" and I am not aware if there is a difference. I think the half-life of the drug is most important though, when considering how long it will be most effective in your system. I hope this helps!

i am taking lercanidipine tablets 10mg also irbesartan tablets 300mg also nexium ec tablets 20mg and half asprin. iam suffering from bloating and discomfort in the stomach area. would this combination , or any one of these medications be causing my problem ? ## Have you consulted your doctor? Any of the medications you've listed may cause such side effects, or it may be a combination of taking them all. You really need to talk to your doctor, because the Nexium may not be the right medication to help you prevent this from occurring. Have you tried any other antacids?
