one week ago i was changed from coversyl 5mg and a nirtro patch which was prescribed last september, the cardiologist said i should not have been on the latter as it is only a bridge....
to coversyl plus and lercanidipine 10mg, and have been feeling horrible... i cant do any work at home or go out as i become exhausted, and very flushed. Im soon to have a hip replacement as the operation was cancelled at last minute due to heart readings which after an echocardiogram i got the go ahead, now im having all these side effects from this new perscrip. and am worried the op. will be cancelled again. my blood pressure readings are all over the place, and when i saw the caridologist last week he said the 24 hour monitor last january gave normal readings.. why then did he change my meds?.

Have you talked to him about it?

It is normal to experience side effects, with neew medications, until your body gets used to them, which can take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks, but if they are severe and causing you problems, then you should talk to the doctor about it.
