Legal Suit Against The Makers Of Nasonex (Page 3)

In December I was diagnosed w/ cataracts in both eyes (I'm only 54). Two days ago I heard an ad on TV for Nasonex & it mentioned cataracts were a possible side effect. I used Nasonex for a few months a couple of years ago & I just bet it's the culprit behind my eye problems. Anyone else in the same boat as me?
Same here. Used Nasonex and Advair. Then I had surgery to remove the cataracts, which led to Glaucoma and two retinal detachments. I now have to use 8 drops each day.
I used Nasonex as a young child for my allergies , I was diagnosed with a cataract several years ago (I'm only 30 now) and DID have corrective surgery at great cost. The eye doctor asked if I had ever used steroids, and I said no, not thinking of even mentioning Nasonex.... I'd certainly participate in a class action suit if one was brought

I was 24 when I found out I have cataracts. I have not had the money or insurance to get them fixed, so my vision has gotten worse, and glasses don't help. I used Flonase for several years before finding out that I had cataracts and just found out that Flonase can cause them! I would participate in a lawsuit.
Yes, I was in my late 40's when diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. All of the Eye people I went to asked me if I had taken steroids. I told them about Nasonex and all of them doubted that was the culprit. At the time there were no cataract warnings listed in the U.S., so I looked at web postings in the U.K., and sure enough they warned of cataracts development with the use of this drug. I have had a total of 9 eye surgeries beginning with the removal of the rapid growing cataracts in both eyes. What a nightmare I have endured, and it's not over. I have spent thousand of dollars even with insurance coverage. I suspected Nasonex from the very beginning. Enough suspicion to launch my own research outside of this country, and I was right. Now, proving fault is a whole different ballgame. Any council on this?
I also have been diagnosed with glaucoma and it does not run in my family. I used Dr. prescribed Nasonex a few years back and was never warned of the side effects; back then my Dr. may not have known about them either. I'm only 52. The eye drops are very expensive and I have recently lost my job. What can I do?
Yes! Just found I had a fast growing cataract in both eyes. Surgery was done on the left. I am 63 and have used nasonex prescription for asthma as long as I can remember; why don't Drs change these prescriptions when this is possible? Just noticed this mention on ad
Yes, two cataracts and eight eye surgeries later.
This blog is a waste of time. I spoke with several attorneys they all told me go get my own as statutes and what I should have known and when I should have known it would preclude any class action for me. I am in NY apparently that is a big problem. They want to cherry pick the best cases. Well in the last 3 months I have developed, Thyroid cancer and lung cancer as well so going blind is the least of my problems LOL.
I also was diagnosed with glaucoma of left eye....doctor does not understand why, no history but have used both flonase and nasonex for years for allergic rhinitis. Doctor even had me go for MRI of orbits and head to see if I had a tumor, aneurysm, etc because he could not understand
I also have cataracts in both eyes. The first sign of eye problems occurred at age 35. I believe nasal spray to be the cause of this.I have used different types of sprays sense my late teen years. My eye doctor also said that I am a candidate for glaucoma and that I have a slightly enlarged optic nerve
OMG.My eyes have been bothering me alot lately.Blurry, sore and sensitve.Ive been using nosonex for years.I recently had to get bi=focal glasses after having no vision problems.Im in.
It is. I used both and now have Glaucoma in both eyes. Also had a Vitrectomy for torn seal in back of the eye and have to use drops every 8 hours.
I am 40 y.o. and have cataracts in both eyes which I believe are caused by corticosteroids. My doctore prescribed Desonide Ointment for my dry cracked eyelids. I used this on and off for a couple of years. It stopped the dryness and the ctacking, but now I have two supcapsular cataracts. I have researched these drugs extensively and they all say that cataracts are a side effect (as well as glaucoma). Desonide specifically warns that it should not be used around the eyes, yet I trusted my doctor and used it as prescribed. This is a crime that these drug companies and doctors are causing so many health problems. I have used Flonase and Nasonex as well, but only samples from my doctor. I have contacted several attorneys and they say that they cannot help me but they encourage me to contact other attorneys for a second opinion. This is BS. I really hope the cataracts are the worst part and that Glaucoma is not around the corner...

As can c eye falls help in the therapy of senile cataracts as well as solving many other macular circumstances, these can be incredibly useful for the the issue of glaucoma. Created from the best way of antioxidising, nacetyl carnosine, these glaucoma eye falls are the most beneficial eye falls available in the marketplace for the eye illnesses such as the most serious ones like glaucoma and senile cataracts.

I agree, and my problems are waaaaay worst than yours. We should talk.
I was just diagnosed with Glaucoma. No family history of the disease. I probably used Nasonex over 4-5 prescriptions of the years, something like that. If it caused me to have Glaucoma then I will be pissed.
I saw a commercial for nazonex. I was shocked when I heard that nazonex caused cateracts! There is no family history , yet a couple of years ago I was diagnosed.
Yes, I have a caterac remove from my right eye in july. The left eye has one developed. I used the same percription..
Cataracts can begin to form as early as age 30. Some children are even born with cataracts. I do believe there is some coincidence that those who have used nasonex can also develop glaucoma though. I've seen many PTs in our office that have glaucoma and no family history of it. Not saying that you have to have a family history of it, nor do you have to have high pressures to be diagnosed as having glaucoma. there are other drugs like hydroclonoquine that can cause eye disorders as well which is why those who take these meds are suggested to take test every year to rule out any damages to the eyes the meds may cause.
