Leading Pharma Lorazepam Reviews (Page 7) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI am really confused about everyone's posts concerning the leading brand Lorazepam. I have been taking the generic form of Lorazepam 2mg for 25 years. I've used every kind, from Watson to the current leading one. It appears that the sugary taste is the primary issue for everyone here.
The amount of negative reviews about this company is absurd. They are no different than any other generic Lorazepam; they work the same. The only difference in this pill is the inactive ingredient, which contains potassium, and that's why the pill tastes like sugar.
However, my point is, if you are a long-term user of benzos, you would have all ended up withdrawing and possibly seizing if the pill really didn't contain the main ingredient. The ER doctor would have been the first to report this pharmacy if your illness had anything to do with it. A negative review does nothing to persuade a discontinued manufacturer to bring back the generic form that any of us got comfortable with.
A Lorazepam is a Lorazepam, and the Leading Pharma Lorazepam is the same as any Lorazepam. It functions just like the rest.

Re: aston (# 118)

8 million leading pharma lrasapam pills have been recalled since Febuary of 2025.Even hospitals are peddling this poison. They are still recalling millions of leading pharma pills in the .5 1 milligram and 2miligrams.Whats going to take place when someone seizes when they have taken 6 days worth and think they are ok,but are really going through withdrawals because this leading pharma manufacturer is still pushing this junk.
Re: william (# 5)
Oh yes lets bring up the FDA.If theres money to be made by reducing elements in these drugs forget the honest FDA.Someone is making a killing out there.
Re: Bjn (# 9)
Absolutely. You're right, Leading brand is junk
Re: Briards (# 11)
Try Teva, works great.
Re: jmb70 (# 16)
They are still pushing this leading pharma, even in my hospital they pushing this poison. 10 million of this brand have been recalled since feb 2025 nation wide. It's causing thousands of wrongfull death lawsuits - not just the manufacturer but hospitals and even pharmacists.

Re: Abomb (# 3)
I never had the option of Mylan but I heard it was pretty good. I started generics once i retired and lost health insurance....Ativan was good but for me it never stopped panic attacks nor extreme anxiety at times...my thinking did that.....I began generics with Watson.....by 2013/2014, Watson was bought by Actavis but they kept the molds so "watson' remained on the 'Actavis' lorazepam. In later years I've had Leading, Actavis and something called Major Pharma (never did find out exactly who they are) and then Teva (who recently bought Actavis's line of generics)......I consider myself lucky that they all basically worked the same. I do know (after 55 years of GAD and panic disorder....the more one concentrates on their symptoms and effectiveness of their meds (some people refuse to believe/accept this)....the worse they feel and many beliefs in ones health or meds- no matter how fallacious - can become fact for them.
Re: BMn (# 32)
I definitely do not believe you worked as a pharmacist. Because if you did you would have been inundated with people, mostly anxiety sufferers saying the new generic doesn't work. They see it is generic and automatically think it won't work. The mind is powerful. If that was the case there would be millions of people having seizures and ending up at the hospital.
Re: william (# 4)
So there's no truth in the myths that generic drugs are manufactured in poorer-quality facilities or are inferior in quality to brand-name drugs. The FDA applies the same standards for all drug manufacturing facilities, and many companies manufacture both brand-name and generic drugs. In fact, the FDA estimates that 50% of generic drug production is by brand-name companies.
Couldn't agree more........been taking lorazepam since 1983....same dose: 2mg x 3 day...... maybe some people are affected by the fillers...I have no idea why...I'm not a chemist......but I do know the first time I got Leading I read this forum....and THEN I considered Leading not as effective......until about a month or two later I realized not being focused on "the difference", there wasn't any...somehow Leading was working as well as the Watson......which I took after I stopped taking the brand name......anxious people are VERY affected by what they believe.
Leading is the best brand now
Re: Abomb (# 7)
You have absolutely no idea what your talking about with your “80%-120%” BS, I have worked in manufacturing with the product development team for years and am now in quality control, I know what the requirements are, and what hoops need to be jumped through to be able to produce a generic drug, the generics aren’t working because your telling yourself they aren’t/ won’t work.
you are 100% correct, i work at a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in northern minnesota, generics have to be manufactured with the same ingredients as the brand name for a company to start manufacturing it, the fda will not give you approval for your generic, if it does not match the brand name
Re: Will (# 2)
Generic drugs are copies of brand-name drugs that have exactly the same dosage, intended use, effects, side effects, route of administration, risks, safety, and strength as the original drug. In other words, their pharmacological effects are exactly the same as those of their brand-name counterparts.
