Labetalol Alternatives

My husband takes this pill and he is a diabetic with kidney disease. This medicine has his legs and feet feeling cold all the time and he is in pain. What can he do to prevent this or help with the coldness? Also, is there another high blood pressure medication that he can take that will not cause these side effects and is safe to take with his diabetic medicine and wont cause a lot of harm to his kidneys?

What other medications does he take?

I'm not saying that the Labetalol doesn't cause this, because it can, but it is very unusual. It's actually known to usually cause fewer side effects than most similar drugs.

Has he consulted his doctor?
