I would question why you are taking an antidepressant as well. Dr's put me on those BEFORE i was diagnosed with hypothryroidism. They said i was clinically depressed. Not until the severe exhaustion, hair falling out by the handfuls, nails brittle and breaking all the time, periods like you would not believe, did they diagnose me correctly .hypothryoid. Depression comes along with hypothroidism. Once you are on the pills, your moods will be stabalized. Please check into this, take it into your own hands if it is prescribed (the depression drugs), for just that (ie not bipolar drugs etc). Too many people - esp., women are diagnosed FIRST as depressed instead of our levels of thyroid hormone being checked
