I had to take a urine test for a job. It was a ten panel test. I think I tested positive for a benzo. But I haven't taken one in over three months. Will the lab test show exactly what I've taken? Is there any over the counter drug that could have made the test positive? I took Advil pm the night before the test. And I have been taking Benadryl for my allergies this spring. I take 0.5mg of Klonopin three times daily for generalized anxiety disorder. I'm trying to get a job and have failed two drug screens from LabCorp. I do not use marijuana. Never have, never will. I tested positive for THC on both tests and very suspiciously, both tests were done by LabCorp. I'm from Colorado, but that doesn't automatically make me a drug user. So either my Klonopin is causing a false positive or LabCorp is just failing people from Colorado simply because marijuana is legal here. Again, I have never used drugs. As to how long it will stay in your system, if you are talking about for a urine test, then you should be clear in 48 to 72 hours. As for the Kolonapin, valium and ativan. Over the past 4 years, ive used all three. First was valium 10mg tid. It help some with the anxiety but not enuf. It also helped a bit as a muscle relaxer. But my then dr changed me to ativan 1mg, tho he was against it. I changed dr's in sept 2013 who is a general prac, but also a pain mgmt dr. He didnt like the ativan either, mostly cuz I was getting 150 pillz a month so he recently ( dec 2013) switched me to kolonapin 1mg four times daily. I havent noticed major difference between them but so far the kolonapin is working best. As for pain, they only increase meds and dosage. Started with vicodin 5, 7.5 & 10mgs. I got a white pill with K 12 written on it. I found it on my daughter's bed. My husband came home with a medium size white round flat pill with the letter K printed on one side. Says that he was told that it was for spasms (cramps). Couldn't find it on Pill ID. I took 4 mgs of klonopin at midnight so it's the 16th of January. I haven't taken anything but methadone I get from a clinic that I've been on for 3 1/2 years.. I have a urine coming up in maybe two weeks... Should it be out of my system by then , as long as I drink water.. And what about coffee and red bull. I drink those a lot. Does klonopin have the same effect as clonopin both 1mg I used to drink a blue pill with klonopin. And now with clonozapam it is light yellow is it the same or klonopin is better even though my precription says klonopin they always give me clonazapam ## They are the same I promise you. Think of for example vicodin. Would u call it hydrocodone? Prolly not. Vicodin is like the brand name cheerios vs the off brand cereal thats exactly the same just cheaper. Clonazepam is what your doctor usually will call it over calling it klonopin because klonopin is just the brand name. Another example Tylenol-Acetaminophen...Most of us just say Tylenol but Tylenol is just a brand they make all kinds of medicines that include the active ingredient called Acetaminophen. I just read the posting where Klonopin didn't show up in a drug test. I had the same thing happen. My dr prescribed Fentanyl Patches to me & I had a hard time getting them to stick to my skin in the hot & muggy summer weather. I did have adhesive residue all over my arms where the patches had been. My dr accused me of selling them because they didn't show up on a drug test. Chances are good that you will have to see a psychiatrist for the Klonopin and a pain managemetn dr for tje Methadone for your chronic pain. Not all pain management drs will prescribe Methadone. You can call different pain drs in your area that take your insurance and ask if they prescribe Methadone for chronic pain. Hi, I have been taking Klonopin for 25 years due to panic attacks and neurological reasons... a seizure/tremor disorder. I've seen a neurologist and have had EEGs given. I'm also on methadone at a clinic and have been for 20 years. In all this time, I've never had a false negative or positive. I had to switch Drs lately because of insurance issues and they're affiliated with the county hospital. I went in a week ago and had a urine analysis done for the Klonopin. It didn't show! I've taken 2 a day for a year and 4 daily for 24. I have never missed a day. I can't function without it. They mentioned a blood test and I said to go for it but the lab tech was gone. So, they sent it to their lab and gave me enough for a week only to find it's a false negative. ...

I was just wondering if it was true that you could inject klonopin? I have a friend that does it and but he doesn't ever do it around anyone so idk what it does to him! can someone pleas help me out here, I want to make sure he isn't endangering himself?? ## Don't do that! I was foolish enough to try it. My throat closed and my body turned red. I thought I was dying. Luckily it stopped after a few minutes. Then my dumb ass tried it a second time. Same effect. I remember thinking, "No point in calling 911, I'll be dead before they get here."

i took i 20mg of clonopin 9 days ago. they were the yellow ones round.? 1/2 mg tabs im not sure. but ill be candid i may have to give a urine sample for threw the state dept. im not sure what type of urine test strip they use, but what are the chances it will show up? ## Probably not, Klonopin has a 72 hour half life which means it stays in your system for 72 hours after you take it, I have been on this medication for the last 13 years and am tested randomly at my methadone clinic, sometimes, however I don't take my meds for a few days and I have had many ua's come back clean from the benzo's. ## No, it will not show up postive. ## Yes, the round yellow tablets are generally 0.5mgs.

i was diagnosed with panic disorder and given xanax but then changed to klonopin last may of 09 as it has a longer half life and controls anxiety better. now i have to take a drug screen for a new job. just curious and will provide the rx. ## If you have a valid prescription, then there is no need to worry, just provide them with that information, when you go in for the test and be prepared to give them proof, if they ask for it. They can't deny you the use of legally prescribed medications, except for certain jobs, such as being an airplane pilot. And to answer you initial questions, Benzodiazepines can take 5 to 6 days to clear your system.
