Joint Pain In Eliqius Users Can Be Harmful

I experienced extreme muscle and joint pain while taking Eliquis I reported this problem to my doctor and the nurse told me to tolerate the pain (can you imagine!?). I contact the pharmaceutical company and was told that join pain can, especially the knees, can suggest internal bleeding in that area. Needless to say I stop taking it immediately.
The Doctor has put me on Xarelto. After a month's use I'm plagued the same
problems. They now want to put me on coumadine. Hope that works for me

Hello, Olivia! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having.

Yes, joint pain might be due to bleeding, but that's very rare. In most cases, it's just a side effect and, for many people, will taper off after about 4 to 6 weeks. If there are no signs associated with it being a bleeding issue, that's why they try to get someone to live with it for awhile, because it will usually improve.

Coumadin may also cause joint aches, plus it requires regular INR testing.

Thanks for enlightening me on the joint pain issue. I certainly appreciated the information. Why can't doctors be as specific and detailed with us as fellow patients? It would reduce a lot of anxiety we experience. I probably would have continued taking the Eliquis or even the Pradaza.
Since I last posted, I've begun taking Coumadin - three pills so far. I am experiencing slight stomach discomfort, but nothing intolerable. Hopefully this is the right drug for me.
