Isosorbide Mononit Mr 40mg

I have been prescribed above tablets by my GP as I have suspect angina getting very breathless and tired but no pain. I had an angeogram done about 4 years ago and put on heart tablets then. My problem is that I have low blood pressure and need B12 injections every 3 months for Pernicous anaema plus lots of other health problems. I am nervous abuot taking this tablet. What do you think?

In this case, I would suggest having a discussion about it, with your doctor.

Isosorbide had been known to cause hypotension in roughly 4 to 5% of the people that take it and, if yours is already low, it might create the risk of it dropping too low to be safe.

They may have some ideas on how to counteract the possibility, such as increasing your fluid intake.
