Isosorbide is most commonly given to help treat or prevent irregular heartbeat, such as that which may occur from Angina.
Side effects may include: nausea, headache, dizziness and hypotension.

I take 60mg for high BP is this the right med for BP is doesn't seem to help
Joe, this does dialate the blood vessels and lowers blood pressure, but it is usually not significant enough to be relied on to treat hypertension, by itself, which is why it's only approved to treat angina.
