Is It Safe To Take Amrayl And Doxycycline Together?

My husband gave me Amrayl together with Doxyclin. He said he was given this by his doctor who advised him to share the medication with me. I do not trust he knows what he's talking about, please help

What was his reasoning for telling you to take that medication, Im really confused. The only reason you should take the first med is if you have an infection, and only reason you should take the second is if you're a diabetic....I just don't understand why a doctor would be prescribing your husband these meds if he doesn't have an infection or is a diabetic, as that seems it would be the only reason I could justify you maybe needing them....was this done because you lack insurance or something...as in the doctor gave them to your husband for your consumption, and still thats very iffy, I doubt a doc is going to risk his own hyde to do such a thing. Very confused.....tell me more about why it is you think your husband would give you or want you to take these meds?

Doxycycline is commonly used to treat a variety of infections. Glimepiride is a medium-to-long acting sulfonylurea anti-diabetic drug. It is marketed as Amaryl by Sanofi-Aventis.

Whoa.....no doctor will ever tell you to share medication with anyone, thats for sure not the truth. I'm not sure what those meds are for but you should call the doctor yourself but it could get your husband into a lot of trouble because as I said no doctor will ever tell you to share your medication, it could easily get his licence revoked. I think you should really look into why your husband would want you to take this medication so badly that he would lie to you about what a doctor says.

What is this medication for? I wish you luck and hope all turns out for the best...but please look deeply into this because I fear for why your husband would tell you to take this medication needlessly.
