I've been prescribed fentanyl 50mg pain patches and i was just wondering if it's okay to cut one in half an chew on it?

30s win all day hands down in my opinion. They actually work for pain unlike fentanyl. I could get nothing from it. And yes I have a recently crushed lumbar

When I was younger, I smoked. I quit because it made me paranoid. I knew this guy that use to get THC pills I'm assuming from a Dr. I am now a whole lot older & have serious medical problems with one being unbearable pain due to a broken vertebrae a few years ago. My Dr. just started me on 15mg fentanyl patches. He says I have to change the patch every three days but I only get some relief for about a day and a half. What's your opinion on this? Thanks

If you know who sold the medication then it is your responsibility to report it and report them to the state or the county who can build a case against them and they can go to jail for what they have done. You should know that that is murder and they should be punished.

I find it very difficult to believe and even more depressing if it is true that this post was written by someone in the medical profession. Does anyone else ever wonder how in the world people that ignorant are the very ones who are supposed to guide us through our various ailments yet cannot spell even the simplest words? Geeze, no wonder there are so many problems for true chronic pain sufferers. In the immortal words of the wicked witch of the west, "what a world, what a world!" Haha.

I've been taking Hydrocodone 7.5 mg for 5 years now. I don't ever take more than 15-20 mg a day. Some days, I forget most of my doses. I definitely need the pills for a broken neck but I use the pills 'as directed'. I don't abuse them.

I chew on patches and boil them and make fentynol koolaid so don't believe the hype...im still alive and matter of fact I just chewed a 75 mcg patch and I feel fine

It made me relapse, I did other pain kiilllers doc gave me (all opiates), then the Oxys got me, tho I refused to go get heroin and used poppy pod tea to stave those withdrawals. Now I’m on 100mgs for years and I started chewing bits of them over 2-3 years ago. I have terrible pain, I’ve had rear back pain surgery twice, and all the epidurals they could muster. Now I have the worst knee pain and it messes my life up, but I want off this as I think the patches don’t deal with the pain. I’ve made reservations to go and talk to someone for my addictive behaviour, then get methadone to reduce my withdrawals.
Plus, please don’t keep dissing on drug users who abuse the medicine too much, then please desist. Nobody wakes up one day and says they wanna be an opiate abuser, it’s a living hell. Why don’t we lay the blame at Perdue big pharma, they pushed pills and created a generation of misery through addiction.

That's exactly how I use mine because it helps with the pain right away AND stops my EXTREMELY painful leg spasms! Also stops me from needing to buy illegal fentanyl pills that you don't know what is in or how many mgs it is!

Keep in mind that fentanyl patches are close to 80 TIMES more potent than morphine patches. And when you chew the patch it can take anywhere between 10-40 mins so there is a big risk of overdose.

what if your in pain but your doctor wont prescribe you anything that helps right now so you've been getting meds off the streets to help the pain and make it day by day until the day he does prescribe? Can you cut it into 8ths and chew to make the pain go away? not a high but just be pain free for a couple hours?

Op's aren't stronger than oc's, they are oc's and the person you know didn't snort an op because they can't they are oxycontin made with a chemical in them to prevent you from snorting or shooting them they don't turn into powder they "pancake" and if you pay 30$ for one stick to 30mg oxycodene they are the best drug on earth aside from meth of course :) chewing a fentynal patch right now I'll post back in the am if I don't of rofl have a good night I know I will

Dude chill out. They warned him about being careful and it's totally his decision. I'm 16 and use about 1mg (not ug) a day for social anxiety and depression. You can control how fast you absorb it by chewing faster and to slow down hold it on your teeth as it only absorbs through your gums when chewed. Do what you want, but be warned, fentanyl is nearly 8-50 times stronger than heroin and pretty bitter. It's a lot safer than putting it on your skin if you're abusing it for a euphoria though, as you stop chewing if you pass out. If you pass out from low respiratory activity while it's on your skin then you're f***ed. Rule of thumb: if you feel either very nauseous, a strong euphoria, extremely weak or tired, or catch yourself breathing very slow, then you're close to overdosing and need to stop immediately. Afterwards focus on staying awake and breathing. If you pass out or fall asleep you can't control your breathing, and if you stop breathing you die... Have fun! :D

You mispelled multiple words and used the wrong context constantly, especially for the word there; you kept saying their. Anyways, when you said the one of two things you were way off, there are endless possible scenarios and it's very hard to determine. For all you know, SWIY bought the patches from a space alien who had acquired a years supply of fentanyl patches from a canteloupe god... Not just a chronic pain patient looking for food money or a liar. These patches are fairly expensive, even with insurance. Without insurance the cheapest pack of 10, 100 ug/hr patches I've come across were over $449. With insurance it usually ranges from 10-60. If SWIY were not insured, and intended to sell these patches for food, SWIY would likely be making no more than $200 profit per 10 pack. I highly doubt they'd be insured seeing as SWIY "can't afford food."

This is such a tired old topic. I'm so sick of hearing the same things over and over again.
Yes. Fentanyl is a VERY good, important drug. The transdermal delivery system is great since fent's 1/2-life is so short.
Yes. You can chew 'em, you can remove the gel...dry it out and smoke it. You can dissovle the patches and inject them.
People that have these "horror" strories seem to all have one thing in common. A universally naieve behavior when it comes to using these types of drugs which have an abuse potential.
Those people which have used drugs recreationally all seem to be wise about their use AND even their ABuse and don't seem to have these stories about how they almost died etc...
Personally, I have used just about every illicit drug on the planet. No, I'm not proud of it. I'm merely saying that some people are naive about using drugs in recreational manners and some are not.
I could of told you for example, that wearing a fentanyl patch in a hot tub would drastically increase the absorption of fentanyl into your system...without even trying it 1st. It's simply common sense. The moisture puts the drug into aqueous solution and it soaks into the skin along with the drug. The copious amounts of water in a bath are far greater than the water normally found in your skin. The heat also increases the amount and speed with which the drug dissolves.
Anyone who has taken a intro chemistry class knows that every 10 degree increase of heat in reaction approximately doubles its speed.
Not even thinking of that rule of thumb....it's just common sense.
Putting a piece of a patch in your WET, WARM mouth?....gee, what do you think will happen?
All you naieve people without common sense regarding human physiology, chemistry, pharmacology etc...stay away from drugs all together.
Actually, stay away from your stating your silly stories here as well. They are of no use to anyone.
