Hey, Theresa! How are you doing?

In a couple of my other responses to you, I've also mentioned the possibility of combining medications… so…

The reason that I've suggested it and the most likely reason your doctor thinks Effexor may work for you when combined with something else is because many medications have synergistic effects, when they are combined. They tend to potentiate each other, so your body absorbs more of them and they may be more effective.

Such tactics are used in many cases of treatment resistant medical conditions, such as hypertension, a-fib, schizophrenia, chronic pain and etc.

Is there anything else I can help with?
